2007 GMC Savana Van , 6.0 Code P0053

My brothers mountain bike hauler has a check engine light, He pulled a code, but if it ain't a bicycle, that's as far as his skills take him.

Google says it's bank 1, sensor 1 Heater?? so is a new Oxygen sensor a common fix? or should he be looking elsewhere?

The van has about 60,000 miles on it, been mostly trouble free.
