I think the suburban will pull it with no problems. I’d probably borrow my dads truck over using mineFor the size of your family that’s close quarters.
Do trust your truck to tow it? Might be getting the cart before the horse literally.
You shouldn't need 50 for that. I have had a few that size and usually just used the adapter into a 20 amp 110 outlet.
Perfect, he’s giving my the charge cord I just need to see which adapter he’s using. Maybe he’ll give me that too. I’m going to get it Thursday. He wanted cash and it’s a little harder to get cash than it should be right now. I gave him a deposit and I’ll drive out wed night and drive it back to norco Thursday. He said if I get a generator get something bigger than 2500w. I guess that’s the next thing.@BHC Vic
You likely need something like this, 30Amp to 15 amp adapter, and a good quality thick gauge extension cord. Check what plug is on the trailer for the exact adapter you need. If 30 amp for the trailer, the below should work.

I think that will get annoying for sure. Any piss at night I have to walk by everyoneLooks like a well built rig, retail on new units is much higher. I like the Aluminum vs wood build, the 5" insulation and enclosed tub. I DON'T like the bathroom location, like them between the living room and master so you have privacy from the living area and at night you dont have to walk through the living room area if you have company.

get a new Predator 3500
If I do plan on towing with the suburban should I do anything to the suspension? What about a Silverado 1500?
He’s giving us an ez tow hitch. I think thats what that is? I asked him what size ball I needed and he said no you just need a 2” receiver. I’m giving you the ez tow hitch so your truck doesn’t sag. I felt kind of dumb so I stopped asking questions. I probably should have just asked.Get a good weight distribution hitch with built in sway control. Take your time setting it up. If you had a 3/4 ton you wouldn't need it, so I've heard.

Congratulations Vic, you’ll have tons of memories with the family and kids, also make sure you lock up everything at night when campingIf I do plan on towing with the suburban should I do anything to the suspension? What about a Silverado 1500?
The kids will enjoy the hell out of it no matter what. Whenever I say anything to my parents about the 5 of us in our little 10.5 foot Dolphin camper back in the day my parents always roll their eyes cause it was so much work for them. Setting up, breaking down beds every evening and morning, making sure all the sleeping bags/pillows were stashed away properly so people can move, etc. Then heaven forbid the weather got shitty..... I may remember the difficulties for my parents a little more cause I was older when we upgraded to our first toy hauler, but I don't want to deal with the stuff my parents did, and I have 1 more kid than they had.I love how everyone says this is too small and then goes on the day the best memories of their childhood were in a camper in the back of their parents truck, or some 10 foot pop up camper.
I’m sure you’ll figure out how to make it work, and it beats the alternative of not camping at all.
Like he said air bags, and I’d be looking at the trans cooler also.If I do plan on towing with the suburban should I do anything to the suspension? What about a Silverado 1500?
That is a weight distributing hitch. You should be good. Set that up and see where you are at. Some sort of air level or air bag will add some extra stability if you think you need it.
The dry weight is listed at 4600 lbs on that trailer. let’s say you add 1400 lbs to it with water and all your crap. You are going to be fine with either vehicle, a WD hitch and possibly air bags. Again just drive carefully.
"Some" on this site will say Vic needs a semi to pull that rig!
Does anyone know anything about electrical? This is the panel I have in my shop. Would it be possible to get a 50amp plug out on the shop? I was going to pm @hallett21 but I don’t know how to pm pictures. My neighbor was supposed to come look and dial in power for my volt I’ve just been super busy. What year is your sub? Im assuming the 5.3 right? The 5.3's have a pretty low tow rating really. If I do plan on towing with the suburban should I do anything to the suspension? What about a Silverado 1500?
Wrong. The Towing Police have recently changed their guidance and best practice recommendations. A locomotive is now needed to tow a travel trailer of any size safely.
2015. I know it’s not greatWhat year is your sub? Im assuming the 5.3 right? The 5.3's have a pretty low tow rating really.

I think it’s rated for 7200 but I’m not 100% I’d have to look
1500 is more than plenty. A good load distribution hitch and you are fine.If I do plan on towing with the suburban should I do anything to the suspension? What about a Silverado 1500?
Puts weight on front tires the end...Vic, when you get that WD hitch make sure you YouTube the hell out of it so you understand how they work!! It's not rocket science but knowing exactly how to do it is a good thing.
It depends on your rear end ratio. A 3.42 rear end has a 8-8,300lb rating (4 or 2 wheel drive) where as a 3.08 has a 6-6,300lb rating. You will also need a trailer brake controller as well.I think it’s rated for 7200 but I’m not 100% I’d have to look
