The 2017 Lariat F150 4X4 Super Crew company truck that I drive just lost an engine. The truck started making a lifter noise and I took it to our fleet mechanic and he took it to Ford of Upland. Well I guess a noise from a lifter equals a $10,000.00 engine replacement. The truck is serviced regularly with Lucas full synthetic oil. I went over to the dealer to get a few thing out of the truck and a whole bunch of F150's with engine problems were there. Anybody else have this problem?

We have quite a few eco-booms in our fleet with 90k+ and ((knock on wood)) we have been lucky to not have any issues. we do all of our service at dealer though so not sure if that is a factor.

I know @Outdrive1 lost a motor in his with low miles.

This scares me. I have a 17 3.5 with 23.5k miles on it... kinda wishing I had waited for the 5.0 with a 10 speed...

Power train warranty to 60,000 miles so if you hear a tick get it to the dealer before 60,000

I lost a motor at 63k as well. Broke a piston skirt. They put a new motor in under their goodwill policy. I had to pay a percentage. Truck has 140 on it now and still running. [emoji51]

The replacement motor had a 3 or 5 year unlimited mile warranty I think.
