2019 CAMPBELL SPRING ROUND-UP

May 17th, 18th and 19th

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

We’ve had some crazy cold weather in Havasu lately so it’s good to be talking about Spring! Some members were even reportedly looking into metal bow protectors to act as ice breakers. It should be noted that no 28 ft. or larger Campbells were involved – everybody knows they can break ice in stock form. Hopefully, by the time of our Spring RoundUp on May 17-19, the temperature in Havasu will allow the chokes on our Holley carbs to come off after just an hour or so of running, we will be able to dump our statuesque bodies in the water, and the ice in our drinks will look like a good thing. It’s hard to imagine right now, but hot times in Havasu will happen fairly soon!

Our average 100 boater attendance at our RoundUps keeps us mostly confined to the large beaches we usually use, like Pirate Cove and Three Dunes, and we plan on gracing, (or fouling), those beaches again for 2019. This year we’re going to give our tireless Master Chefs Brad & Mitch and their families a well-deserved break from the action and cater the Saturday event at the Pirate Cove Pavilion.

Friday, May 17

No “official” planned events, but members that are in town that night usually get together for a no-host dinner on the patio at the Javelina Cantina, 1420 McCulloch Blvd.N, (just across the bridge on the south side).

Saturday, May 18

Gather in Thompson Bay, and head out together at 0930 AM through the Channel and run to Pirate Cove for lunch, beach games, and jawboning. Bring your own beverages and starter fluid, (these two items may be the same for some owners).

Lunch will be a full catered taco bar. $20.00 per person (kids are free)

Sunday, May 19

For those wishing to have breakfast at The Springs, gather again in Thompson Bay, and leave together at 0930 AM to run to The Springs for a no-host breakfast. After breakfast, there will be a beach gathering at Three Dunes, (located roughly across from Black Meadow on the AZ side). Plan to bring enough food & beverages to last through the day.

Some may wish to skip The Springs and go directly to Three Dunes. There is no set time to leave for the beach at Three Dunes, and no set events throughout the day. Just good times with good friends, floating in the Lake, and tons of insults.

So get ready to clean and polish your baby and throw it in the water to see if she still floats! (Oh, and get your boat ready, too!) Let’s get together and heat things up!!

Activities will be staged Saturday on the beach by our Recreation Leader, Daryl-Lynn Burke. Entry fee is $5/per person with all proceeds going to the winning team. A sign- up sheet will be available Friday night at Javelina's.

Back by popular demand are Campbell T-shirts, Be sure to get your order in for our latest Spring Roundup shirts. All new with classic taste@ $25.00 a shirt.
