Sorry If this has been posted already.

Reserved my rv spot and paid for my slot to participate in the poker run.

Anyone else going? It will be the third weekend of January.

Nice, I waited too long and wasn't able to get a peninsula spot. Oh well at least i got a full hook up spot.......and it's at the end of the row.

I think it’s sold out already, I offered to be one of the cards stops, but I would much rather participate

Didn't do last year, heard the course was pretty hammered, hopefully they mix it up this year.

Fuck that turtle habitat washboard road. That was like a 1 hour no fun part of the course

We stopped off at their booth at the sand show and no one there had a clue about it.
We received nothing in the mail or e mail either.

Last year we were camped on the end, excellent.

Complaints were it seemed fixed.
Winners knew they won even before the drawing or results were in. This was brought to everyone’s attention by people working the event.

The long stretch through the turtle refuge was enough to ruin the whole event IMHO.
Severe whoops with a speed restriction and it was a long section evidently strictly enforced.

But having aired all that it’s a fantastic place to camp and go off roading.

If you want to go let me know and I’ll see what I can work out.

I talked to Jim this AM and got myself a poker run entry and we will he taking our little toy hauler. Unless you want to bring the big mamma mamma. Lol.

We're skipping this year. It was fun, but the 35mph speed limit (and 15mph desert tortoise section) were a bummer. That, and the backup at the card stops, turned a nice ride into an all-day deal.

I’m not gonna make it. But my spot has been taken. There is another one on Feb 9 I think too but work is interfering with my schedule right now.

We attended the 1st poker run that they had put on and it was a good time. We didn't do last years, and I was on the fence about this years...

We were just there for a week over Thanksgiving and while I like camping on a peninusla spot next to the river enjoying our dirt toys in the warm weather- the terrain out there is hammered. Most of the trails are full of rocks, braking bumps, more BREAKING Bumps, and washboard terrain everywhere.

This happened while we were out there and I was driving mellow with the wife and kids. I am no wussy and dont mind dust, rocks, bumpy terrain etc but the terrain out in that area is alot different than the areas we typically go- Dove Springs, Spangler, Jawbone.

So what did you do to fix that? Cut the bar out and replace? Or just weld around the cracks?

We ended up aligning both tubes back up so they were straight and welded. Also welded a triangle support on the inner side of the tubes. Its pretty stout now and hopefully wont crack again. I have had the car for over 7 years and thats really the only issue I have had.

We won’t be using our spot tomorrow. If anyone wants it let me know. I’m not sure what the transfer process is. Pirates isn’t answering their phone.
