No pic what a tease! 😁

I just knew that was coming:), but I am NOT Tech Savvy. I just saw a short article on it I believe on Car and Driver. I'll post if find it again.

There is nothing that looks/sounds like a Turbo 911 and understand totally different = But a 1967 435 hp Stingray Coupe with Factory Sise Pipes, MY OH MY.

Nice looking car for sure, but for that price, I'd much rather have a Corvette.

And all I want is a simple Carrera
I believe the "right" car is the 2016 Carrera S, manual trans. Last one naturally aspirated. I love turbocharged everything, but the 911 NAs have a special growl that no other car matches.

For that money I'd buy a C8 and tune it with nitrous and still have money left over for gas haha

One of the members at our track has the GT3 Cup car, race version. It's an effin beast. Took this short video of my son running his yellow AP1 S2000 Honda. The Cup car was getting on the throttle going into the 1/2 mile straight at 0:20 in the video. I'll get a better/longer version this coming weekend to upload.

This race version [ single seater ] is nearly $ 800K cdn OTD. Specs > https://www.porsche.com/internation...cing/racingcars/911-gt3-cup/featuresandspecs/

For Porsche lovers, here's a video showing my friend's silver 1963 Porsche 904. Enzo Ferrari must of been a fan of it ,because the Dino has a very close resemblance to it. I was helping another buddy of mine to build one with the 911 six, that will be a screamer. The originals were four cylinder, racing LeMans

I gotta be the only one in the world that Porsche’s honestly don’t do a lot for..

I have driven quite a few of them and always just thought they were kinda “meh.”

You haters would think different if you drove/rode in a 2017+ TTS and used the launch control. Ours is tuned and will run high 9's in the qtr mile on street tires. Stock they run 10.3 in the qtr. Very fast car.....

As I get older I think it's nuts to buy a car that cost as much as my house.

I know they are fast. They just don’t do a lot for me. Not a hater! I think to each their own!

Wish I was closer. I'd take you for a spin in my GT2RS. No "meh" here. View attachment 899318
Love it!

Dave you buy new at the horribly inflated add the dealers were getting or buy it used. Even used they are getting full MSRP for these, almost bought the grey one at Riverside Porsche a few weeks ago.....

The widowmaker is an absolute beast of a car!

They're bad ass for sure, and while the technology of the car has changed and improved over the years, am I the only one who thinks the car needs a new chassis upgrade?
Most people can't tell the diff from one generation to the next because they're so similar.

That's actually what I like about them, timeless. I really like Vettes, and they are a great value, but they seem to become dated quicker than the 911. The CPO and used market for the 911s is damn near like the boating market, hot as hell right not.

I've had it for about 18 months so yes on the mark up. I traded a 2011 GT3RS and a Voodoo blue 2016 GT3RS plus cash. The first drive put a huge smile on my face and it's still there. Not driving it much though. Looking at other Porsche's. It might be departing at some point.

I'm too old to care about quarter mile and 0 to 60 times. This would be the newest Id get in turbos: https://www.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/911/kelowna/british columbia/5_45368323_20150526104607030?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&ursrc=hl&orup=2_14_14&pc=V4M 2J2&sprx=-2

For non turbo in 911's the newest would be up until 1989. Ultimate and around the same price as a new Turbo S would be one of these: https://www.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/911/mont-royal/quebec/5_47482602_20150812092118987?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&orup=2_15_32&pc=V4M 2J2&sprx=-1

Oldest non turbo Id go is a 1973 911 RS.
Back in 1989 I ordered a new 89 Speedster in Baltic Blue and Cashmere. It was my daily driver until summer came. I wore suits then and the AC sucked. Eventually I sold it. One of my biggest car selling mistakes.
Then in the 996 era I was looking for another Speedster because I thought the 996 cars were, ugly. Found another 89 Speedster in San Francisco. Black/ Gray, 3000 miles. I bought it but summer came along and you know what happened.
I think the 89 Speedster is one of the best looking Porsche's ever. You have good taste!!

I have had a number of Porsche's over the years including a 1997 Turbo S, Amazon green. Loved that car and I too wish I had never sold that car..... Big mistake.

I'm with Dave. Very boring and just plain teutonic. Does everything it is supposed to do, without a whimper or complaint.

I'd prefer something that is going to bite me, beat me up, make me work.

The Porsche's are just too "perfect" and as a result boring.

But to each their own. If you like it, get it.

I 100% agree. I have a 2017 turbo s its definitely a rocket. If you look at the numbers these cars hang with most super cars in all categories. I do wish I would have bought a GT3 at times. Much more of a drivers car.

My Radiologist neighbor just bought a new one last month. Turbo It might be the best looking car I have walked around. And it sounds oh so sweet. He was a M5 guy. Wait till he wants to borrow my trailer...…..I only want a few hours in it.

Have Sam at ByDesign tune it with the big intercoolers and it becomes an absolute monster......

I go out to the track every now and then with my Buddy and his GTA3.

Id rather have this. https://www.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/930/leduc/alberta/19_11425986_?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&orup=1_1_0&pc=V4M 2J2&sprx=100 more collectible, air cooled originals are becoming more collectible. In 1980, Porsche stopped selling the 930 in the states for awhile. It didn't come back to the states until 1986. So low production numbers between 1980 and 86.

A German guy I used to do some work for had a 1987 930 Turbo, European model. Unfortunately, his house burnt down one night, with the car in the garage, and he was in his bed. RIP Helmut. I don't have any before pics, so this is an internet pic.

You want a daily driver supercar.. A 911 Turbo is the only choice.

My friends dad had a repair shop. His dad died a few years ago now. They immigrated to Canada from Germany. In Germany his dad worked for RUF, the Porsche tuner. He came to Canada to head up RUF's North American service department. RUF North America's HQ was in Canada. His shop saw some pretty cool Porsches. But for some reason his Dad got a rep on working on older Mercedes. In the late 1990's, his dad had his first heart attack and I helped my friend run the shop. Drove lots of cars. My favorite Porsche was an 1986 944 turbo cup car. Very few of these got made, it was for a special 944 turbo only race series. The owner of the car had it tuned back to race spec and deleted the cats, etc. Had around 400hp. I sometimes toy with getting a 944 turbo and building into a cup car replica.

I was not a fan of the Porsche. Thought they where boring as well. While I was doing some work for Porsche they were kinda enough to send me to the Porsche experience facility. After spending some time in a 911 Turbo with a professional race instructor I was in shock. I literally got out of the car sweating from driving so hard. Porsche's are a insane piece of engineering in my opinion.

This is my playground. Have had about 3000 laps on this track. If any of you ever come to Area 27, I can arrange a 2:02 lap in 09 Radical . Bring your barf bag with you. :D
@ 2:20 in the video is my buddy's Radical. He's second fastest in the Radical group.

Are you constantly hitting the "fight or flight" button? Fun button!
Ya. It really is. When I was thinking of buying the car the thing that sold me was you could use launch control as many times as you want and it came with a 5 year warranty. That blew my mind that Porsche had that much trust in they're cars to take abuse and not break. Most of these supercars have a limp mode after a couple launches and a 2 week warranty.

I along with two of my friends bought 930's in 1987. I'm the only one who didn't total mine.
