kind of looks like a cross between a Avalanche and Ridgeline
What does everybody think?
105k who can afford that for a truck that can't even make it from San Diego to Vegas without stopping in baker to charge"The RST model of the all-electric pickup truck will be available in the Fall of 2023 fully loaded for $105,000..."
Then people couldn't virtue signal that they are driving an electric vehicle.im not sure why they dont just leave the body alone. why do they make the EV version look like an abortion?
Like a locomotive, add a small lithium battery bank and let her roll.I wish Ford would make a F250 Hybrid Diesel, it would be cool to get some extra mileage and have the power generating capabilities...
Considering fuel costs, company cards etc I would imagine a fleet oriented business could justify adding solar if they don’t have it already.I bet the range towing say 6000 lbs is cut in half. So 200 miles tops!!! Add a head wind on the freeway and could be 150 miles. That’s with a brand new battery that still holds 100%.
Add more weight like 8000-9000 lbs. and I bet it’s more like 2/3 cut in range. So like 120 miles.
These will be for the fleet guys who drive about 100 miles a day.
Problem I see, if for the fleet guys, how do you charge a complete fleet from the yard? That’s a massive electric bill. Most commercial buildings don’t yet have solar
What truck? This EV truck stuff is like watching a trainwreck in process....
Guys are deleting new Ram Diesel and getting 25 mpg with them. Coupled to a 50 gallon fuel tank giving you a range of 1250 miles. I get on average driving to and from the river 20 plus giving me 1000 mile range.
Enjoy your charging stations... LOL
I have the Aisin. Assuming you have the 8 speed?2020 ram laramie 4x4 long bed. My truck isn't deleted and I'm getting 20.5 to 21 mpg at 80.
25mpg from a post 2012 6.7? . Let me know who the magician is so I can get in on the secret. The 5.9 trucks, maybe. I want absolute proof, not interweb BS showing me above 18mpg on a post ‘12 deleted 6.7.This EV truck stuff is like watching a trainwreck in process....

i have a ford 6.7 with a 6 speed on 37"s, im getting 13-14 with a 60 gallon tank i have a range of 400 towing or 900 not towingConsidering fuel costs, company cards etc I would imagine a fleet oriented business could justify adding solar if they don’t have it already.
Even with just a 400amp service you could charge a fair amount of vehicles for 10-12 hours.
I think the lightning is going to impress a lot of people. Construction guys traveling 150 miles a day would really benefit.
Ram 6.7 6 speed aisin with same MPG. In Dodge’s infinite wisdom they gave me a 26 gallon tank lol. So call it a 330 mile range? I have a 9 gallon DEF tank though .i have a ford 6.7 with a 6 speed on 37"s, im getting 13-14 with a 60 gallon tank i have a range of 400 towing or 900 not towing
Have you guys seen the Hummer EV truck - it seems a lot more interesting
Waiting on the 3/4 Ton version.

The bed extending into cab is a bad idea.
I dont dislike the looks. I was never a fan of the avalanche.
400 mile range is good

My Monday through Friday could be accomplished with a Lightning when I’m not moving material, hauling a dump trailer etc. I’d never ditch the 1 ton but for the days I don’t need it the EV would be nice. A lot of times I only need power tools and my tool bag
I can’t be the only person in this predicament.
the 68rfeI have the Aisin. Assuming you have the 8 speed?
That’s still impressive assuming it’s hand calculated. Maybe my truck is a pig lol
