My co-worker's son is also riding for USA, Cam Wood. He's originally from Montana and now rides out of Phoenix.

Here is a video of his journey. Pretty awesome. We will be cheering for Cam and Daleny!

Tried watching the opening ceremonies. The boat thing was a fail. Lady Gaga’s performance was pretty bad. Turned it off and watched some golf channel. . Looking forward to watching some swimming/volleyball later. Won’t hold it against the athletes.

I think it was Ledecky's mom who said, "If I only had one day to live, I'd go to a swim meet because they last forever".
My sons just finished up their 17 year swimming careers. 4 year D1 athletes. Swimming is a brutal sport. 2-3 workouts per day, 6 days a week, 50 weeks per year.

Mostly we make fun of the stupid outfits and check out the hot chicks. Have some silly grub and drink a lot. It's hilarious.

Many of the games are interesting to watch, but I really don't see breakdancing or tumbling with a ribbon on a stick as a worthy Olympic sport.
