Curious about the oil system, dry sump?
And flywheel or flexplate?

And what water pump?

Dan'l

Sorry dude short texts:

Water pump ——- jet
Flex plate
We used a micky Williams cool guy pan
I would use a simple Dooley jet pan
Oil cooler
Remote oil filter housing
Block off adapter

Oil system:
For jet only

You have to change pickup and pump
It’s set up with a moroso drag style pan
Would fit fine in an outdrive

Blue print guys don’t push the Marine side too much, hope this list helps. Have an honest budget vs Pfaff / teague / gt marine / bostick

632 long block is $13k range shipped to start

Yes it would be easier I’m sure
The 6.2 and 8.2 Cat manifolds make it a tight fit

Jets we typically do S pipes and put them above water line

These 3 x 23 decks are getting the last cable shift 6.2 mag ho then mercury is going 100% DTS digital only

The exhaust above the water line is a big NO GO for my wife,
something about carrying on a conversation, hear yourself think and or listen to the music without it being turned up to defcon 4.
In fact she doesnt even like it at the water line but we have compromised!

I guess going 100% digital will help when they go all electric 😆
I love the transom cut out shot, I'd bet dollars to donuts my current boat "Team Hawaiian" did not get its cut out resin coated!

Thx

Curious with the LSA and sterndrive are you guys using a Bravo 1 on that setup? Those CMI headers look awesome! I notice oddly that their website only shows the HO setup that comes with headers available for inboards but doesn't show available for their stern/jet packages. Was that a special order? How far back are you on orders for the 23?

23 DECK is lightweight, the LSA torque is lower than a BBC so Bravo 1 is my best option to start with.
Marine Power is hard to deal with.
If you want an LSA Outdrive with Headers, we have to roll asap as the LSA has been discontinued for Marine Use.
Marine Power has some stock, but they are covid madness behind schedule.

- Todd @ TAHITI

New motors coming are the direct injection stuff that Malibu is pushing for TIER 4-5 EPA compliance for wakesurfing.
5.3 DI
6.2 DI
LT4 DI

LSX is becoming more popular too as the LSA to LT4 price jump is substantial.

When you say LSX are you referring to the 6.2 L87 from MarinePower or some other LS3 platform? If so have you built either in front of a Bravo 1 yet?
420hp 460ft lbs doesn't sound too shabby.

@Goodtime$ What's the weight on one of these loaded with a 300R or comparably priced jet? Is this something relegated to the lower river or Parker on a big weekend or can you do Havasu without taking water over the front?

I can give you some perspective. These are great river boats but can definitely be used on Havasu. I have only taken water over the front of my 22 deck once and it was on an afternoon in the basin of Havasu when the wind picked up. It definitely isn't the smoothest ride on a big day, but it can be done.

Thanks for the reply. I was actually going to tag you for some perspective, so I appreciate the response. Any idea how heavy you are loaded with fuel/gear for the weekend?

Would love to see braided lines that match the boat's color.

weight isn’t the issue
The outboard extends the bottom , gets motor farther aft thus flying the nose better

for rough water, the outboard is the only choice for the Placecraft bottoms. My 2 cents

Sorry. Weight was for towing. Not sure if my GX460 would be safe/comfortable to tow something like this.

It’s gotta be under 5k range, if I tow it w a v6 4Runner I feel it. My 02 sequoia doesn’t know it’s there. GX460 is above pay grade hoss you will be fine

Love the gel scheme, and how the rub rail blends with the lines. Half capped sexiness!
