Heard that the 33's porpoise bad does the same go for a 30?

You should look out for the same things you would on any 10 year old boat,service records,hours,etc.
As to the 33,rumors man...rumors.Some may porpoise,probably due to a driver not having tabs or drive trim set right,improper weight loads,etc.Since one did 192mph at LOTO this year they must be capable on some level,in the right hands.

My pops had a 33 Daytona for years and we never had a problem with it porpoising. It was a great boat.

I should be picking up a 2001 Daytona 26 this weekend. It doesn't come with a motor or drive. What I am wondering is what to expect from the boat.
I will be removing one of the two engines and drives from the SCARAB and putting one in the 26. The engines put out 650 HP and the drive is a standard BRAVO with an IMCO -2 shorty lower. I have a 28 BRAVO 4 blade turning 5300 on the SCARAB - will I be able to turn this same prop say 5700 on the 26?
What do you guys think.
