496 Mag HO Procharger Kit

I have had this new in the box Procharger kit sitting in my shop for years. I purchased it for one of my boats and never installed it. $3,500.00 OBO Kit is in Placentia CA.

Don't those only work on certain 496HO's? I thought the HO had to be produced prior to a certain year for them to work

I meant what supercharger model is included in the kit. I was trying to look it up, but couldn't see which one it was. My engine has an 05 build year, so looks like it won't work. Thanks

No, but your dealing with a 496HO and the lower end of that motor is the weak point.

Spoke with Jeremy, head of parts at ATI/ProCharger today. He stated that this set up will not work with the 2005-newer Merc 496, it would use same blower but different intercooler, brackets (both for blower and intercooler) as well different piping. The only thing usable is blower and pulleys. I'm broken hearted as I really wanted this for mine but oh well. Also figured others may like to know straight from the manufacturer what is different.

However they are almost done with all the testing and will have a release of early fall for the 2005-newer kits for sale. They said the decided to fill the void they had in that one section of marine applications

So fall of 2017 they will have a kit for 2005 and newer 496HO. That took forever. Just when I thought I was done f'n wth my motor this will get that thought process going again.

Yea I was like wtf is t it a bit late for that? That's when he stated that it was time to fill that void, I'm assuming many have been asking them for just this idk but said to expect by no later then first of Oct but should be sooner.
