To answer your question, no I have not and havent heard any real world results.

That being said, with the 525, it was worth having the rev limiter increased when we were racing them. The engine would make flat HP from 5300-5700... so we would prop down and spin them higher, resulting in better acceleration. This was racing SBI when they said we could tamper with the ECM's.

I would do it if I owned one...

Do I need to send Whipple my ECU to have this done? I’ve been thinking about getting it done on the conquest

yes you do.

I believe it’s a “91 octane” tune but with the low compression of the 525 you could prob ask Dustin about running 89

Thanks for the input.
I’m running a 26p on my eliminator 28’ fundeck and top out at 76mph at 5500 rpm. I have a 28p that may give me more top end speed But suffer a little on the bottom end when getting on plane. I thought the extra 500 rpm would help it on the bottom and top end with the 28p. I’m I correct in assuming that?

Seems like you would want to stay with the 26 to keep the low end performance and get the extra 400 rpm on the top for more MPH.

What High Voltage said. Keep the 26 on for good midrange, and use the extra HP(?) and RPM on top to pull it further. Stock limiter is 5450 so you are on it.

sorry guys
Boat ran great with the upgrade
Really could feel the mid range pull
I put my 24p prop had 1/2 tanks and put up 72mph at 5600 rpm still had more left Being the rpm limiter goes to 6000 now. Whipple suggests 5800 max
The 26p labbed prop hit 79mph at 5800 rpm
I am wondering how a 28p would do.
highly suggest the upgrade.Best bang for the buck.
