What color is he painting the truck?

Not sure yet...maybe a color closer to an original offering, not so loud. Barbie Dream Car Teal is the current color I think

Not sure how well they'll clean up, no flaking on the aluminum centers but some rust. Original wheels and hubcaps were in the old Cragar boxes, they're mint condition. I'm not sure what direction I'm going to go with the car. I grew up next door to him, he was 10 years older than me and bought the car the year he graduated high school and I was touched when I found out the car was going to me.

Collins Wheels in Bellflower are still in business making custom steel rims. Been there probably 50+ years.
hmmm, now that I think about it, maybe 60+ years.

Update

decided to keep it old school and run 15” smooth steelies, Wheel Vintiques had them in 15x7 and 15x8 with the right backspacing to fit the trucks lowered stance. Will either paint them body color, white or black. Not sure if we’re gonna run the trim rings, or just the center cap. We’ll decide once their on the truck

Also got a 65 mustang EFI tank for a smokin deal. This fits between the frame rails nicely, doesn’t hang down visibly and has an internal pump with baffling. Hoping to run a filler neck concealed behind rear license plate.
