Set the seats in to make sure they cleared the gas tank brackets then hogged out to get to bare glass and epoxyed the blocks in, still waiting for the painter to wetsand and buff

Almost done with the pile of polishing, just have the exhaust left, still waiting on the painter to wetsand, too much longer and I may look for someone in havasu to do it so I can get this wrapped up.

I am not sure what brand, Brian, there is no marking, I believe it is original as I got it with the box of parts that came with the boat and the original holes lined up.

Yep, found an old picture from when the previous owner brought it home, it came off the boat.

The rigger is progressing on the Sanger project. Had some issues with the seat hump clearing the v-drive due to the fact that we wanted to move the seat as far back as possible. Thats been corrected - lol. Going to cover the hole with an oldschool style wood coozie/drink holder that matches the floors.

Cofooter everything is looking incredible!! I cant wait to see your finished cupholder! Kinda reminds me of the teak pods on the old Bertram 31's. Its gonna be beautiful that's for sure!!

The builder of this pod sprayed 13 coats of Epiphanes when this picture was taken. He ended up spraying a total of 21 coats before all was said and done. Anyhow, that's what your drink holder reminded me of! ;)

Read this whole build drinking my coffee this morning. Beautiful boat, love the floors and the amazing craftsmanship put into it. Definitely a floating trophy when done! Keep us updated!

Wow! Big step! I've lately been very interested in flatties. I'm curious, how loud is it to be a passenger in one? From videos it sounds just like totally obnoxious and almost unenjoyable.... but they just look so damn cool and go so fast.

With the water logs they really aren't that bad, especially if your exhaust tips are under water, at idle my Sanger is pretty dam quiet just a rumble and bubbles :), when you are driving you need to yell a bit if you want to talk to a passenger. If you run headers its a different story. I love all the noise you get from a flatty :)

If any boat is “obnoxious” to you might be a nice time for a minivan...... just saying....

Love the FE with the MAG brother!!!!!! in my opinion the absolute perfect ignition for a flat bottom, and they just look cool! I have been trying to talk my BIL into putting a Mag in his 67 Hallett he is running a 428 SCJ.

Sheesh! It isn't me concerned with the sound, its my girl. If I cant convince her to go for it, it ain't happening. We already have 2 boats, both 2 stroke outboards. She's cool with them, but not sure about a big block screaming in her ear.

Actually a 429, just picked up some SCJ heads, will be putting them on eventually!!! Original engine from day one in this hull was a 429 cobra jet, Mags are definitely cool!!!

Thanks, Lenmann! I think once I get the drink holder in I'm all done, haha, just sit in it in my garage!! Seriously, pretty much just little stuff, gotta get seat brackets in, tach cable, all the plumbing and in/out shifter and linkage that @Clank123 will help me with. Not too much left............
