Looks like they are shutting down the restaurant.

Is the one in Kearny Mesa on Balboa still around (North of Montgomery Field)? Few years ago it was getting kind of rundown.

Sad. Did a couple dates there and used to be a cool dance spot on Tuesday then head to the Shot of Gold or that Cougar place on roscoe.

I’ve had this card in our Toyota after going there over 15 years ago. I’ve got no idea why this cards stayed in the car.

What a shame. The wife and I spent many nights there and always had a good time. It’s been awhile since we have been to the SFV. Old stomping grounds!!

My parents took us to the one in Costa Mesa or Tustin on the other side of the John Wayne airport runway back in mid 1970s. Place looked like an old french country farmhouse.

Had many many business lunches there in the 1970s when I worked for Powerboat Magazine and Nordskog Industries. Several of Nordskog's buildings were on Raymer and more on Strathernn Street in Van Nuys. Probably a day didn't go by when at least one or more of the Nordskog management team wasn't having lunch there with a client or vendor.

Nordskog! My FIL always reminds me that he worked for Bob during those days as his CPA when he was powerboat racing..good stories! Teague brothers were the machinics.

Good lord, I went there for the first time back in the early 80's. Very cool place. Great Onion soup.

Have to get a chunk of carpet for memorabilia ....

Last there in 2014. I'd swear the same carpet as first time I was there in the 70s.

Went there quite often in my younger years. Thankfully the Proud Bird (sister company) is still in existence.

I remember the one next to the John Wayne Airport.
They had headphones on their tables so you could listen to all the air traffic.
It was pretty cool.

The bar was their money maker. Bar biz all over fell off over the years and that's probably what sank it.
