Thought i would share the build of my ranger as it seems to be a little different than the rzr route a lot of people are going all while staying CA smog legal and hopefully keeping the AC. This truck started out as just a little work truck and was my dd through college. It had a small lift kit with 2.5 shocks that did the trick for a little while but i decided to start building something a little better and like most projects, things escalated. the first pictures are of the truck with the small lift kit.
As my fabrication skills are not up to par with what i wanted, i went to some friends at BTF fabrication in upland to have some equal length beams and radius arms built. We then cut off all of the stock suspension and they went to work. The truck has equal length beams, cross over steering, dana 44 hubs, and has 2.5 in coil-overs and bypasses in the front.
When i got the truck back from the shop i went to work on building a bumper and mounting some baja designs lights. As it sits the truck has around an 82in track width in the front and should be in the 80in range in the back once finished. I just picked up a 9in housing that i will be modifying for leaf springs and installing when i finish the bed cage. The truck will eventually get a full cab cage and maybe a v8 swap but for now im just plugging along with the build and hopefully it will be ready to go when the temps cool off.
