Best and simplest method to remove wickedly strong two sided adhesive from hull.
Chemicals?
Heat?
Elbow grease?

Like double sided tape adhesive? Heat, elbow grease and WD40.

You could use goof off, just rinse it off quick.

I've used the rubber wheel things on a drill, then clean a buff out. I've used plastic "razors" in a scraper handle for some areas.

3 step method. heat gun and new razor blade. Some residue will be left. Then move onto the 3m wax wheel. This sort of gums the left over adhesive into clumps. Use some elbow grease to get rid of most of it. If there is still some residue left over get out the goof off. spray it on liberally and use the razor blade to scrape it off. It is important to be quick, before the goof off drys. You risk scratching the gelcoat if the goof off drys. and it drys quick, so a little at a time.

This is what I used at the dealership when we would swap out the chrome emblems to black chrome or gold. It takes the adhesive right off and does not harm the finish underneath in any way.

Cons: Obviously pricey. And to do a big ol strip of adhesive, might take more than one of those things...

All you can do it try one and see how far you get.

This is the best. Make sure to get gel. I use to remove plasti dip on wheels. Only thing that works.

Had 6 coats of black plasti dip. Looked like crap too. Wont damage your fiberglass. Apply it and let it sit. Take a pressure washer and everything will come right off. Clean it with denatured alcohol or lacquer thinner to get the residue off.

Yes it does.
I'm down to my last can☹ of the 5 cases that I brought home after closing my dealership. Still got lots of windshield washer concentrate though😄

Just stick another keel guard over it

Maybe 40 minutes...my boat has two of these fuggers😊
Whiz wheel meaning the rubber wheel thingie? Run it on an air drill or 'lectric?

Electric drill will be fine.

The 3M wheel things will remove quit a bit of that stuff. Figure I can de-badge 3 GMC pickups, and the wheel could still do a lot more. If I were closer, I'd just drop one by for you to try...have a couple in the garage.

I've always used a heat gun, 91% alcohol, and a soft scraper that is appropriate for the finish being worked on (credit card, plastic putty knife, etc.). The alcohol can be difficult to get these days because of all the Covidiots, but it's out there.

If you need to get under something like to cut off exhaust tips or a swim step, use molybdenum wire. Super strong and thin.

Eraser wheel is all that worked on my old vinyl graphics. If you have an angle drill motor(90) that’s even better and if you get two and stack them on an arbor better yet.

Lol, that's what rich folks do.🤪
Everywhere wants to lift boat off trailer and spend one to two days of labor to strip.
I've got time to burn.😊

my cheap ass would be doing it myself as well and cussing a ton while doing it
then again, I think I said just pay the 1500 every 3 years for sponson repairs vs glueing keel guard to boat

You could just peel the keel guard off and keep beaching the boat. 😁

10-4. The stuff from BMW is the bomb. It's clear, not blue. And that vanilla scent is awesome.

I found a few bottles in my toy hauler the other day. Score!
