Our oldest daughter was a church camp this week, at Lake Mead. About 100 high schoolers on 4 Houseboats and 4 performance boats for water activities. My buddy and I volunteered our boats to tow the kids around on tubes for 4 hours a day. Having never boated on mead before I didn't know what to expect other than big water, and that's what we got. Heading back to calville Bay every night was a fun trip. all in all it was a fun/exhausting week, now I'm hanging out at the Hoover dam Lodge waiting for the wife with the rest of our kids for some family boating this weekend.
Heading out at 5am on Monday

Mixed in some cliff jumping to give the boat a break

Some random shots from the weekend, a nice cove, somewhat sheltered from the wind, but no sandy beaches in sight.

Mead boating is great, the water gets big for sure when the wind kicks up. Looks like a great time.

There a few really good beaches not far from Callville. Like you said not knowing the lake it is hard.
