We spent a weekend in Mammoth checking the offroad to Mt Patterson but I mapped the wrong trail so bummer I have to re-do again. We also hiking to rainbow fall,
boondock at Owen River Road, it was very nice camping spot under the Pine forest but little challenge with 65' long since my long travel truck doesn't have a tow hitch.
Also diesel prices different between Sept 2020 101 gallons cost $265 vs Sept 2022 83 gallons cost $500

Love Mammoth during the warmer months, so much to do and see! Some great off roading between Bishop and Boadie- we have covered several hundred miles on Dual Sport bikes and our off road cars.

Just an FYI you can find some larger spots at a campground called Pine Glenn, they have group sites and just overall larger sites for bigger motorhomes.- its right across from Mammoth Mtn RV park. You have to reserve online.

There is also a place further norther towards June Lake called Glass Creek- its dry camping and all 1st come 1st sever.

You are camping in one of my favorite areas to camp of all time.

Looks like a great trip. Thanks for sharing the pics! 👍🏼

I love that your kids were able to interact with the deer on such an intimate level. What a cool memory.
