This new Magic deck is not an H-series twin-step bottom?

Went over the boat today.. it was windy today so I elected not to take the boat out (Preston was willing)

For the “need it now” peeps this is what you are gonna get.

For the full article I am working on it plus several others, plus a new office.. etc

It’s a lot nicer than the original Magic’s is where I’ll leave it.

Working in the real writeup with real pics. Those are the cell phone “just showing up” pics. ;)
RD...Do you think you’ll have the write up before the show?

I love the boat. Interior diamonds aren't my thing, but I would force myself to deal with them:p That said, just personal preference.

Someday...

The diamonds remind me of like a 1992 Lamborghini Diablo interior or something. Not sure why it is so popular right now? Did the exotic car thing just catch up to the boats?
Exotic? True, Italian jobbers have had for a while. I always think of 70's lowriders...East LA family I guess...

Somehow I think if someone showed up with a wad of cash Preston would accommodate them with any interior they like.

...And that is why we live in a great country! There are people with money to spend, and those willing to accommodate their needs. I like and understand that part of economics;)

Not to answer for RD but I can safely assume the 2 Havasu shops would be Maxed Out Marine and Horizon. Both are 1st class, trust worthy, professional brokerage shops.

Been following along this process and I think they hit a home run. I'm sure the boat itself is a quality piece but I think there's more to it.

Despite those who LAM about their cash toy purchases, a significant # of used boats are quietly financed. People want Magic decks but it's tough (not impossible) to find lenders for 10+ yr old toys and sales regularly fall through due to lack of funding. With a new 2019 build, Horizon will be able to finance buyers into these as fast as they can build them. Not many dealers can successfully resurrect an old boat brand but I have no doubt Horizon will pull it off. Pretty damn cool from a biz perspective regardless of the thoughts on the details of the boat.

Is it in the Nada book. Usually it takes 3 years to get in the Book. Most banks won't finance a boat if there's no book but who knows.

Is it really popular though?

The west coast custom boat world is about .01% of the current market. I think the only wake boat (fastest growing segment) with this interior is Tige. I have seen it on a few Midnight Express (again very custom) but that is about it other than DCB and a few other custom boat manufactures.

Something tells me if you are the buyer, they're gonna build the interior, gauge package, sea-deck pattern etc to whatever you want and are paying for. If you want dingle balls hanging from the bimini that could happen too...just sign on the dotted line and leave a non-refundable deposit.

Looks great! Glad to see Magic making a come back. Hope to see this boat in person at the Boat Show this weekend.
Also looking for some replacement parts for my 2005 Magic. Will parts be available?

Me? I expected more especially for the 1st Magic
Needed some electronics to give it the wow factor.
The flooring material was EVERYWHERE, not only the floor but the dash and even on the bow.
Seemed like a cheap way to dress it up

If it’s truly $130k-$140k I think they will move a lot of them as an entry level 28 foot deck.

A regular trailer, less flooring material, and a simpler interior design would cut a few percent from the price.

I bow down to you sir calling those prices entry level.:D
I guess maybe for a “custom” deck boat that’s entry level

I remember thinking things were getting out of hand when custom boats cost $2000 per foot back in the day. LOL
I guess I’m just out of touch with reality I never thought I’d see $80,000 crew cab dooley pick up trucks either:p

It’s a 28 foot boat we are talking about here. They were what, $100k+ 15 years ago?

Everyone knocks Cheetahs, but that 26 wildcat is a nice looking boat and the one's ive seen are pretty nice. Steve's comes to mind. 105k with a 520, hydraulic steering, etc is pretty damn good!
sue bought her first one with a 496 h.o…..52k... sold it for 65k 4yrs later...actually she traded it in plus 10k for the new one with a 525 merc… so she ended up at 75k , I upped it 5k more for a triple axel trailer, full hydralic steering to the helm... so 80k....replacement value is 130k......cool... she'll be keeping that boat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D
