I'm assuming this is a 15 gear? or 8?

too bad its not the 28.5 that was stamped on the box!

Those gears were made by Casale, you might give them a call.

According to the Ace Champion prints I've got the original gears were made by Fairfield Manufacturing Co. The 1.285 ratio required the following gears... 514713 and 514714.

Here's what I believe to be the modern day company that built the gears way back when... http://www.oerlikon.com/fairfield/en/products/custom-gears/

I am currently content with my ratio (1.15) but decided to pick up a complete v-drive as a spare last year with the 1.04 ratio. My memory sucks but I think WellDigger00 has something other than the original gears in his Ace / Champion. His box is stamped with the 1.09 and I want to say when we did the turn and count his ratio matched what was stamped on the box.

I keep telling myself I need to call Oerlikon / Fairfield to inquire about the gears. It would be a real "hoot" if the part numbers I've got could actually be built again.

Aloha

The gears you have posted pics of were made by Casale, CE stamped on one is their mark. They appear to be C-500 gears. a sideview pic would be nice.
