Before pics.. Trailer was delivered and the tires were rubbing on the fenders, as well as the strap was rubbing and fraying already..

Stacy wanted the Blingy lights... so off we go!

So we cut in the large caskets in the main rails.. You will also see the new mount for the electric jack and the onboard battery.

The trailer was kinda tall so I added an extra lower step on the main rail as well. I also changed all original caskets to black adrenaline caskets..

Caskets are the recessed stainless pieces the long LED lights are installed in. I switched mine to black and the adrenaline style ones instead of the extreme ones. They just have an angled edge instead of round.

What is the purpose of the bolt holes drilled down thru the frame rails?

That’s where they installed the up lights.

What’d you do with the extreme caskets? I’ll buy them from you.

The tires rub? Wrong wheel/tire size, or bad trailer design?

Thanks, I kept staring at it wondering why did they drill a hole just to put a bolt in it, and it was an LED:rolleyes:
I will say you do like the LEDs, looks good.

I may be older but despite what you said earlier about the older camp-ground group not appreciating you under lights on your super-C, I like em!

Since they are LED lights can you control the color of the lights via app on your phone? I know they are doing that on interior lights these days. @RiverDave

Looks great. How can they even deliver a trailer with rubbing tires?

I don't believe they have found or make small RGB marine lights yet. I asked a couple weeks ago and they only have single color.

Adrenaline doesn’t offer them yet but if you went on superbrightleds.com you could order them to do that..

or get offroad rock lights like I did on my motorhome.. the under lights on this trailer are rigid rock lights, single color.

They are still down at adrenaline. I didn’t ask for them back.

Any idea why they use the Rigid vs the same 3/4” pop ins? I’ve been contemplating doing the 3/4” pop ins as under lights on my trailer.

Do they seal all the holes drilled for the LED’s with caulking or grommets to prevent rust?

just call them and tell them you need a couple of extreme caskets.. I am sure they are cheap? If not free?

No absolutely not.. all tube trailers fill with water when you dunk them and drain.. If you look under your Howard you will see a series of drain holes drilled in the bottom of it. If you seal them then eventually they will get water in them and rust from the inside out. It’s better to let them fill and drain and “breathe.” They last longer

there is no way in hell you could make a perfectly sealed trailer. even if you got 99.999% sealed... that little bit of moisture would get in with no way to get out and it'd eat the whole thing up.

Ive been looking everywhere for my new build and he is correct. However they are no different than rock lights on a sxs so you can go that route. I just havent found any that look good enough to install in my boat yet. im actually thinking about strips currently...

Your correct. We just went with Blue. I searched high and low for something similar in size and can get dunked.

How do you turn the colored lights on? I assume they aren’t on all the time when the running lights are on?

I was wondering the same. Are they on a switch? I am only curious because I really want to do this.

looks cool but you can not legally tow it down the road with the blue lights on. only red from the back and yellow on the sides and front dot rules

40$ each from extreme, I’m sure they’ve already made plans for them if you didn’t get back.

RGB Rock lights. Work awesome I’ve not used on a boat trailer yet, but have used plenty on offroad stuff. They are fully sealed and IP65.

Use the center pin on your 7 way, which should be a constant hot, then run all your power and ground add a small round rocker like vvv, most do on the bottom of the top step of the front ladder.
I did amber runway lights (just wired direct to the tail/clearance lighting so always on when lights are on) on mine, plan to do the lower ones in green just yet to make the time.

If you are doing a scratch build they make bunks now with the LED’s incorporated into them..

There are two switches on the tongue.. and a battery and a battery charger onboard.

it looks cool. I'm curious of a couple things...

Is that battery gonna get wet at the launch ramp?

What did they do to paint the add ons (step and battery box, maybe the raw material exposed from cutting holes for lights and new caskets)? Mask off around it and spray? Wasn't that trailer powder coated?
