All new hoses for a 21ft Howard V-Drive. Thoughts?

In October I’m stripping everything out and doing some work for next season. All new hoses for water/fuel/oil cooler and whatever else.
Give me advice on the best hose types and connectors. Are quick connects good or go with AN? Any ideas are appreciated

If it is not in saltwater, then I would do AN fittings with the black braided cloth type hose. Salt kills the AN fittings, and after a few years the braided line pokes the hell out of you, thats why I would use the black braided line. As far as quick connects go, I am out of the loop!
