I wish I could get the wife and daughters more interested in learning the basics. Kids are getting their liberal anti gun indoctrination in school and it's hard. I'd take them on a tour of county jail if I could and show them a whole other segment of society that they are unfamiliar with and see if they still want to be unarmed as they get older.

Just approach it casually, start with air soft or squirt guns if they are younger, women are just as competitive as men, they just need a tiny nudge to get them feeling like it's something they want to do.

Ease them into it once you get a healthy spirit going with a daisy red rider, set up a tin can target and have competitions or challenges to see who can hit the can the most times...

From there it's a pretty easy jump to a 22, a little Savage pump action with a 4x scope to throw a little more learning into the mix....

You will unleash a wave of eager females with some self confidence and inner peace of mind that they can easily protect themselves from most anything.

That is priceless.
