Amazing how our fucked logic works. I have a bolt so I might as well get the rest of the car to go with it.
back in HS I had a friend that always expressed envy over my 250 Elsinore so for Christmas I gave him one of the new spark plugs for my bike and told him that was a start, he just needed to build around it.

I need a corvette version of that as I have a magnusson laying around from one. Have the supercharger so I need an engine to go with it.
This is the Vette LT1 dry sump. Leaving it as is till the car goes to body shop. Tons of little details to fit to car this winter. Looking at adding a Tilton pedal box. Already fitted for balance bar race pedals. Damn steering column gets in the way.

The RED sleeve 427 LT1 is calling me...............700 hp NA

Wow...been 7 or 8 years already:(
Yep. I see Maureen still cruising around in her yellow vette. She lives about a mile down the road from me. Good people. Their whole crew were always cool as hell. Used to see them at the yacht club all the time. Jerry was a really, really cool guy.

So the white Blazer we did about 5 years ago and he has managed to put less than 500 miles on it. Now it might be for sale. And since I have a guy that wants the little orange truck I might be compelled to buy it. I fit better in it. 5.3 ls 4l60e all Ridetech bags and suspension Wilwood brakes. And the orange 69 Camaro we are finishing up for a buddy for his kid. Foil rotisserie rebuild. 525hp ls3 4l80e Ridetech coil over kit Test driving and tuning it.

Pro street it,

Needs 2 more inches drop, tubbed, 9", blown BBC, small set of wheelie bars out the back and a low pro wing just up off the tailgate with a full cage to the frame.

OR NOT!

I have a 73 4wd, bone stock I have had for 19 years and only managed to move it from one house to the next

What's the wife's number?? She will probably sell it after that much time.. I have a bubby with a 4x4 73 suburban. Been in the garage for 25 years or so. 502, 4l80e accel super ram, one ton's. I want to call his wife and she would probably pay me to take it as it has been there so long.

If I gave out my wife's phone number the blazer wouldn't be the only thing missing🤣

Love your stuff

So this is some of the shit I deal with. I had a issue with one previously brand new out of the box. Major chatter. Tried a whole bunch of things and nothing helped. Had the flywheel ground and it was perfect.
Brand new out of the box cylinder heads are the same way, seen it first hand with AFR and Edelbrock

I have run into that same issue. It’s now SOP to do a witness grind.

I’ve also found one that the bolt circle wasn’t concentric to the center point of the crankshaft so unless unless I’m doing a complete balanced assembly I always mount a scribe/stylus and rotate the engine to verify location so as not to throw off the engine balance.

We had an MG with a 2.8 v6 and a 5 speed. Motor and trans was already in and it was all new clutch and flywheel. Fought with the clutch not disengaging for a day or so. Pulled the trans to check things and surfaced the flywheel and low and behold it worked perfect . Education costs something no matter where you get it.

How difficult is it to change an early 60’s Impala from manual to automatic. And how much?

depends on what trans you want to use. Everything has gone up. I just got a 700r4 done for a customers 67 impala. trans alone was 2500.00 plus a converter is about 4-500.00. all in it would be around 5k. drive shaft, kick down cable, dipstick. it all adds up.

Thinking about painting the top the same color as the wheels and throw some flake on it also. The bumpers also crossed my mind. What's the peanut gallery think?
