Upgrading the A/V, got the Denon AVR X4700H, 125 watts/channel. Stereo guy is proposing Origin Accoustics D 85 indoor/outdoor ceiling speakers. We use them to play loud music.
I’ve never heard of this brand, anyone with experience?

I’ve got Origin Acoustics speakers in my 7.1 setup (5.1 + Atmos). The center is a D85 and all the rest are D65. Also running a Denon receiver, AVRX1400H, 80 wpc). My sub is an older Energy (from when they were good) 10” / 400wpc.

They’re in our living room/home theater.

They sound great, very clean sound, and can get quite loud. Very clean dialogue when watching movies, I have no complaints at all, and I’m very happy with them.

I think the biggest knock on them, is that their MSRP is inflated, and some people question why they’re discounted so much.

Good history on the company here:
