Anyone gone jet to v-drive?

I know it's been done and would like any positive advice or help I can get before I just go for it. Just looking for advice on the transom and hole for the pump in the floor. Concerned because my rudder and shaft mount over the patch so it has to be very strong. I know 1708 is in order but the boat is a 73 Schiada 22. Thanks guys

My buddy converted a Challenger mini day cruiser back in the 80's and another converted a 21' Howard from Outdrive to V-drive. You will get some good advice on here I am sure. The process on the transom is key, make sure your wood work in solid and that you have a good fit with the plug you put in. angle the edges so you get more glass surface rather than a 90 degree edge. The floors are all glass to begin with, again feather out the hole and do several lays up, shaping as you go, you don't want to do an 8 layer shot at one time. this is what I watch them do and it was using polyester.
