Picked one up for Xmas for the kiddo. Been seeing the videos etc about em and how they are a good entry point for kids getting into 50cc bikes and such. We know someone who was involved in their company and it was sold to harley davidson. I’ve been seeing they have events in SoCal and would love to get my kid started in those.

Got both sizes last year Christmas for my grandsons along with extra batteries. They ride them every day these things are great and don’t break. Last year they were 2 and 4 Years old. The perfect starter for dirt bikes. This year I’m getting them 50’s.

They have been racing them at the track in Lake Elsinore. I think the series was called wacky racers

Not us but have several friends whose children have them, and we typically have a race class for these bikes.

Fun to watch - I would recommend.

But get the KTM stickered one!

It’s gonna be a great Xmas this year. Sold out everywhere. Was able to find one at a motorcycle shop in Wyoming…

We wanna get em on a 50 dirt bike. These guys supposedly are a great start to that.
Yea...I guess it would be a good transitional thing if going to a dirt bike was the goal. I was just thinking BMX would be better if it was to get them into if looking for something more technical.

Those were easier for our kids to ride than bikes with pedals. They were awesome to learn throttle control and balance on a twist throttle so neither had an issue transitioning to dirtbikes now. I just got my daughter the KTM 5 E which is the the race electric 50

But.... why do they have to be so dammed expensive?! My wife and I were thinking about getting one for our girls, then we saw the price tag!! Not gonna happen.

If I don’t factor in resale value nothing makes sense. It seems crazy but so does everything else.
The new Stacyc bikes with the Lipo battery‘s jumped up in price. They are essentially a 18v drill/driver motor. What does a Milwaukee drill, big battery, and a kids bike cost? The components ain’t cheap those things are built well. At 190lbs I could ride the mini one around on the street no problem.
No bullshit, my son left his in front of my truck and I ran it over. Two bent wheels and a cracked side case. The frame and bars Forks everything was fine. The parts are easy to get and not bad on pricing.
Then we moved to the 16 & 20” Oset electric Suspension bikes which look like kids trials bikes. I just sold those a week ago. They were great the kids learn throttle control standing up on the pegs. Just the Lipo battery upgrade on the 16 cost me $800 but shaved 10+lbs Off my daughters bike.
Luckily I sold all those for close to what I paid for them. I don’t want to talk about what a KTM electric dirtbike costs😢

I got my two year old one for Christmas, so far we’ve just been cruising around the house. I can’t wait to get him on some dirt and let him figure it out.

He got a Strider last year and after the Stacyc this year hopefully he will be ready for a PW50 next year.

Been looking for a electric assist bike for my son's 9th birthday but can't find one that fits the bill. Kent makes an 18" one but bad reviews. Don't want full electric because I want him to Pedal still but we live in an area with pretty steep up Hills and he is not strong enough to Pedal up himself. Anybody know of anything else out there?

I dropped $15k on a s-works electric bike this year, $3k sounds cheap to me. If I had a kid that size I would get one, it looks bad ass.

Truth be told, I sold my KTM dirt bike that I only rode twice in the 2 years I owned it to get the s-works. I ride it 3 times a week now, best decision I have made in a while. So I don't know if I am a baller, but if you check out decent MTB electric bikes, they are not cheap.

I have seen what those little stacyc bike's can do. I wouldn't hesitate to take a 20" one with forks on a 5-10 mile real mtb ride. A kid that size woudln't be able to do that on a regular bike. Once I started riding electric mtb bikes instead of regular ones a whole new world opened up. Uphill's are now fun and are part of the ride. No more riding streets or fireroads for hours to get to the top then ride down, now I ride the trail's up and down. To have my kid be able to do that for only $3k in the electric bike world isn't bad at all. That would be like complaining that a 50cc dirt bike is $1500 when big ones are +10k.
