I actually did that once in San Diego mission bay.

my buddy unhooked the bow strap and the bunks had rollers, Backing down and crested the top of the ramp and boat took off looking for water. It was perfect placement between 2 other boats. The out board was way up in travel mode my buddy in the boat popped the out board down and fired it up and backed out....

it could have ended really bad but we lucked out. The boat was an old shitty boat that sat in a buddy’s yard for ever we were like 22.
