Close to freezing at night but still great weather during the rest of the day. Our track closes by the end of October, so use the cars as much we can til then.

You've got some fun toys. Are you going to track the busa?
Won't track the bike. It's a cruiser really, albeit it's one of the fastest bike in the world for straight line runs. Bought the bike originally for the engine as a spare for the Radical but it turned up mint to use as a donor for the race car. Will get a crate 1300 engine for the car instead.

Get rid of the exhaust. Will be a totally different bike in regards to handling (weight) and speed. Will really wake it up the bike. Don’t need to remap either. Get it with the Carbon Canister. The stock cans or the stainless ones will leave some burn marks. You can throw the baffle/silencer in the can and it will still fly. Love the color combo. Oh, see if you can get some parts from a wrecked one, I believe 2013 and newer. The Brembo brakes with the abs (a most) are superior. Of, course, the fender delete. Just the basic ones, nothing fancy.m

UE, thanks the input for upgrades. However, at 74 I'm happy with the power of this bike as is, still leaving my riding buddies in the dust on their Harleys, Indian and Victory, haha. 😂 I have battle scars riding bikes since 60's. Have to keep my bones intact from now on. I'm tracking cars only to stay up.;)
My fave fast bike was before this is the 86 Honda VFR750 Interceptor. Had 4-1 pipe with Yoshimura can and ran Metzler Comp K tires. After selling it, I've returned to vintage bikes and still have my 58 Matchless G80S I've built in 1989 to putt around town.

74?! Man, I hope I’m having as much fun as you are when I get to 74. I can only imagine the wtf faces you’d get on the busa.

No, has nothing to do with your age or tracking the bike. The stock exhaust weighs 60 lbs and being low it’s really A bitch throwing the bike into turns. Those cans are so hot it’s actually a hazard. The Stock exhaust Really chokes that engine. You get better gas mileage and a very quiet system with the baffle installed. The loud pipes alerts LE miles before you get to them. You can touch the carbon can while the bike is running and it Won’t do anything to your hand. Age is nothing but a number my friend. At 58 I can still get mine up 1st through 3rd gear. Coming down at 160 could be adventurous at times. 😂 But, the Acceleration/high speeds of the Busa and the Zx14r Are bar non. Both are different bikes. The Kawasaki is more electronic and handles differently from the geometry of the frame. The Busa is more of a primitive bike. Sort of like the old Porsche which where drivers cars versus the new ones with all the electronic assists. The liter bikes don’t even come close. This was my turbo one, I sold it back in 2015. Use to put down just over 500 hp to the ground. I’ll build another one since the new Busa’s were such a letdown.

I ride my Matchless and my buddy's V-Rod with open face helmet on. But yeah, taking the full face off, riding the Busa, will definitely take some looks, haha

Beautiful car, what is it? Where is the track? I’ve got a Pro Mazda that I play with at Willow Springs. I bought it several months ago and it still scares me.

My son driving the car [ RFR F1000 ] here, trying to set his lap time below 2:00

The track is in Oliver BC. It's a private members club. Your Pro Mazda would fit right in. We have the Radical group, GTU group, open wheel group and motorcycles. Also, GTO class is in the works. Non members with racing license or classes taken driving courses to certify can come visit. Members can bring guest to do lapping days. It's set 3 days max per calendar year. We can bring up to 8 guests per calendar year. We also have Kartplex at Area27.

What is the red car you are passing?

At first I thought it was a radical but saw what looked like a Ferrari badge on the nose - made me think SP333 but clearly it’s not that either...

Radical with Ferrari engine?

It is a Radical SR3. Hayabusa 1340cc engine. We have a RHD 06 Radical CF edition with sequential shifting. All newer Radicals have PDK with rev matching. Me and my son are old school. keeping the old technology in our cars. ;)
We have two old F-1600 Formula cars, F-40 Crossle, VanDiemen 1600, 06 Radical SR3, 09 RFRF1000, 04 NB Miata turbo, two Tony Karts, 125cc Swedetech engine and 125cc Rotax Tag.

Fun toys!
Several years ago some friends and I from work rode our Harleys from CA to Lake Louise in Banff. What a spectacular country Canada is.
Ive only taken my Pro Mazda to the track twice. It’s way over my head from the go-karts I raced as a kid. I’m still learning a lot. I really need to pony up and pay an Instructor to spend the day with me at the track.
If you ever make it to Santa Clarita, CA, look me up.

Didn't you have a Formula BMW? Maybe it belonged to one of your friends.

Have several friends with the BMW Formulas at the track.👍 They are slower compared to Radicals and F1000 open wheel.

Let me know when you go out! If you look up OpenTrackRacing, they run on Wednesdays at Willow. There are a bunch of guys that attend those events with Pro Mazdas that could give you some instruction and pointers.

Thanks for the info!! I just looked it up, it’s the big track. Not sure Im ready for that yet, I’ll call and ask them. I’ve been on Horsethief twice just to make sure the car was solid. I’m ready for the next step but was thinking Streets, we’ll see. If I could get about 5 laps on the big track by myself, I’d be okay. Don’t want to wreck anyone else or myself.

Yea they run on the big track. It is a pretty low key group and you get lots of track time. There are few, if any idiots since it is on a Wed.
