Left Kansas City yesterday for Orlando and made it to Paducah KY. Question for those that know Atlanta, would it be quicker for me to bypass 75 and take the 285 loop to get out of downtown ATL? Thanks

To me 285 west always seems a little less crowded even though it has the airport traffic side.

Like Brain said, it isn't a lot quicker except at rush hour.....But rush hour is 7:00 to 10:00 am and 4:00 to 8:00 pm most days, at least it was 7-8 years ago when I fought it daily.

Appreciated the information, it came in handy today. I ended up taking 285 around 5:30. When I first got on 285 it was jammed up pretty bad and I started to regret my decision, but it ended up working out and made it through Atlanta pretty easy. Holy shit the police are all over the place before and after the ATL. We're staying at the Hilton tonight in Warner Robins GA, seems like a real nice town. 5 hour drive tomorrow to Orlando for a week of hell and then back the same way to KC.
