OP, keep in mind, most hospitals don't have a NICU on site. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. My 3rd was born 7 weeks early and was in the NICU for 3 weeks. It is hard and I imagine for the 1st is even harder to think about leaving them there when you go home, but he is going to have the BEST care and round the clock attention.

Edit - apparently there is a NICU there but it is small and doesn't sound like it's a level 3 NICU yet.

I Just saw the title changed and read the thread. We are praying for you guys and I hope to hear a positive update soon.

We went through a couple of scares with our children, and it’s a very stressful place to be in, in the moment.

That's great news! Progress, congratulations! We had a great experience at Loma Linda, 25 years ago. He's in good hands.

Congratulations on your sons birth. 22 years ago on Thanksgiving day I brought my first born home from the NICU at Loma Linda. We had a bad birthing experience with the first hospital as well but Loma Linda is great. I still remember the transport team coming in to take him to Loma Linda
I am praying for your entire family Today as a father who can truly say I know what you are going through.

That’s wonderful news. I’m sure the extra long labor stressed the little dude out a bit. So glad to wake up to the great news !!! I prayed for you all last night.

Great to hear. Our oldest spent a night in the NICU, it was scary for sure but isn't all that rare we found. How are you and mom holding up?

Hang in there bud. My first born was in the NICU three months. It’s stressful as fuck but he’s in the care of great people and they’ll get him fixed up soon.

Well it looks like you will have a lifetime of thankfulness on Thanksgiving. Prayers headed your way. I bet your wife can’t wait to be with her sweet boy. Daniel was 9.6 and it’s hard to remember him being that big. Treasure every moment…
