What does zoom and teams have to do with unemployment and automation?
those are both automation to put faces with voices and expressions.
stuff done remotely obviates the jobs that depend upon a factory style work model: less sandwiches needed to be made for workers at the nearby deli at lunch, less custodial, less commercial space needed, other such things related to the factory economy model.

He thinks everyone working is now an animated computer generated avitar.
I can't wait to see these "animated computer generated avitars" frame a house or plumb it for that matter. Most people think everybody can work from home. This work from home shit has to stop.

Yep!
You can’t build that home while working from home. It’s like what came first, the home or the millennial “working” from that home

“Windmills don’t build windmills”

But it all comes down to the fact that our definition of “work” is completely different than todays definition of “work”.

Every homebuilder I know needed people to do these exact jobs all last year and this year too.

But workers were paid over 26 bucks per hour to sit at home so there is no reason to pick up a tool.

Once the Government chose to pay them over 26 an hour last year to sit, it is going to be real tough to get them back out there which is exactly where we are right now.

oh, that's interesting. please continue if you would. so many interesting parts of this observation development in our modern world.
here's a video of a robot laying bricks to build a brick house
did you see the two guys in black shirts standing by and watching, inspecting work?

😁🤡😂🤡😂🤡😂🤡🤦‍♂️

so 26 bucks an hour based on 40 hours a week? But if they don’t work it’s actually 168 hours a week, which drops your hourly to roughly a quarter of that. Put the Thunderbird down boy, your clownin yourself.

🤡 🥨 🖕🏼

hunger is a very good motivator, hopefully some will find their 'calling' and do the job before hunger is their prime motivator. the essence of planning for surviving or planing to thrive is in knowing those things.

You previously stated it was $24.00 an hour?
Either way your math does not add up in AZ.
AZ has one of the lowest weekly UI payment amounts. Pretty sure it’s $240 a week.
With the $600 federal cheese added that comes to $840 a week.
Divide that by a typical 40 hour work week and it’s $21 an hour. If you break that into overtime hours like most construction jobs and whatnot it drops dramatically to well under $20 hr. (For instance we work about 84+ hours a week)
That $840 equates to like $8.50 an hour off the top of my head with 40 hours overtime.
Granted, those numbers change in higher UI paying states, and non right to work states.

In AZ it’s double edged in the labor trades.
AZ laws do not favor the laborer, as you know.
So working 10-12 hour days, then being off on Saturday wipes out the overtime.

My question to you is when is your choice for president going to address what you blame on the Trump admin?
There is nothing Trump could have done that would have pleased you or the other haters.
Nothing.
You said that the way to conservativism was through removing Trump.
Well, you managed that through whatever means, so what’s the deal?

Gotta ask, are you GMAC?
oh, I owed you an answer. sorry for the oversight.
unlike so many here, my screen name is my exact legal name.
whatever GMAC is or was - it was and is NOT me. I really need to go search all GMAC posts to see what chapped the hide of the dungeon inmates so badly.
edit: I found out that a ban was instituted and the posts are all gone. :(
would you provide your exact legal name to me? you seem to have some underlying urge to negation on my opinions, so maybe we can develop friendlier relations ( as I have been told RDP is a friendly place) if your name was known to me. feel free to PM it.

Ok, since no one knows GMAC s actual name it’s odd and hence the question. If I need something, I’ll be sure to reach out via DM, though that comment is the exact passive aggressive type of response sRyceMac would make.

Luckily, I missed that one. Always makes me wonder when people want to make bets, ask for names, and other weird shit.

It’s a boating site, which is a great group of people to banter and when needed activate folks to keep the river open to power boats with no speed limits and no more restrictions.

How leftists remotely fit in is beyond me, since they hate freedom, fun, risk and gasoline. All of which happen to frame up a great time at the river.

fuck democrats

It’s their environments, IMO.
They seem to have this idealistic societal vision, but simultaneously do not see themselves as being subject to living it
Their idealistic visions do not apply to them.
Not a single one of them here practice what they preach. Oh they may display virtuous signals when spotlighted, but they are about as sincere as a Tijuana hooker.
They’ll drive an EV, but own a twin screw cat, and vilify big oil while paying $500+ to fill her up.
They cry bloody murder about Trumps “hate racist wall”...but live behind locked gates.
Their mind fucked leaders defund and break up LE, while having armed police escorts.
They minimize and degrade and subjugate ALL minority races while blaming the average white man who doesn’t give 2 shits about any of it.
Im called a homophobe by every one of them, yet I’ll guarantee you I know and have known more fags and trannies in my life than most if not all of them.

So our bunch of idiot Dems here display all those traits, but as an added hypocrisy are boaters to boot...except for the couple trolls.

The main ones here all live in liberal nests. It controls all their thoughts because they have never been around free men.
530 may be an exception but that’s because he’s isolated on top the hill away from reality and mere mortals.

passive aggressive

I have seen that before. it is an odd claim. I choose not to be aggressive, maintain a best efforts uninsulting posture, yet it is interprested as passive aggressive maybe because it is not overtly aggressive. I dont like that it happens because its just another polarizing and divisive attribute in our culture, but it does happen, and I am living with it.
so, the conditions force a decision by me to let that assessment pass, and become just another opinion that is expressed, rather than some kind of personal affront, injury, or insult.
I was told RDP is a friendly place, so I decide to make the best possible friendly interpretation.

just guessing...is this the companded list of marauders who dare enter the echo chamber/dungeon?

No surprise you’ve been called passive aggressive by others in the past and you’ll get it in the future.

I accept that. What does that look like to you, honestly? I know it won't impress the commoners here, I know it doesn't fit in, but I still enjoy the experience. I like people enough to tolerate the 'unfairness' on an abstracted platform like any social media, because my life experience shows that things are very different in person.

I think some of the less qualified skilled labor are going to be in for a big surprise if the party of love finds a way to legalize some of our northbound migrants from below.
