Went and had lunch at the Mexican place up the street and decided to swing by to AJ’s and see what’s up..

I don’t care how long I have been doing this the hardware hanging around his shop Is still awe inspiring.

Its the Nordstoms of boat repair in Havasu. I have tried the all and I wont go anywhere else. Key to me is an appointment which means your boat gets worked on that day, not an appointment to drop it off and then it sits. Also, you will notice that they get all of the boats inside each night which is where their scheduling comes in, they have their system dialed in. And AJ is a smart guy, a few years back my wife came in with me and I he told her just pick out what you want of his BCM swag. Granted I just dropped $8000 on my bill but he gets it, wives drive the majority of decisions anyway.

If I lived out there, I would go there for sure. I am digging that floor in the shop. Don't see that too often. Just old dirty concrete here.

Incredible that it’s an endless flow of big hardware going in and out of there. I fill up at Campbell Cove on Monday’s mostly to check it out.

I have been there when the guy ahead of me gets his invoice, some of the numbers are staggering. When I tell people what I paid for my annual ($2500 for twins) they think I am an idiot. I feel his pricing is worth the customer service that they provide. My boat was in for its annual last month, started on it immediately, done the next day, stayed inside overnight.

There is not a better shop. They just did our service on our F29 and also did a leak down, compression test, and dropped it off for detail because we are going to be listing it. I had to ask them to keep it for an extra day because i was still in Cali and they said no problem. Service like that is worth the price.

Guessing our bill will reload my Hilton Amex points.. I’ve been very happy with the communication and attention to detail. They’ve caught issues that other shops in town either ignored or missed. Looking forward to putting a ton of hours on the lake this season.

I remember delivering a 26 Shadow Deck for JW one day in Havasu with Jason (sales rep). Boat threw a breaker on the 525 due to low battery (stereo overpowered batteries). Call JW and he texts me AJ’s cell. That is all I needed to know. AJ over the phone told us how to reset breaker and get the boat running after new batteries were delivered to channel.

when I have an issue, I first call I make is WOT Marine in Vista, CA. If Kyle does not answer, I call AJ. Kyle has always returned my call or text within hours and gets my work.

They have our Amex on file if that makes you feel any better. LOL.
They just did our annual and it was I think $3,200?

Same here, Amex on file. You get what you pay for, I’d rather pay a premium knowing AJ will be there if I need him. After hours the shop phone rolls to his cell. I called one night around eleven thinking I was going to leave a message with a question I had, he answered.

Being that I am at Havasu Landing, I always try to make my appointments well in Advance, and make them on Fridays, yes, probably their busiest day of the week. My appointment this year was last Friday.
I worked out a deal with AJ a couple years ago when I had Adrenaline Trailers build me a new trailer for my boat. AJ took the old trailer off my hands. Now I can boat across the lake for services.
The staff treats me like a KING. They have their deal down, and they work it. They picked me up Friday at 8 am sharp at Windsor, boat was serviced, I topped it off with less expensive AZ gas, and AJ had me backed down the ramp at Windsor at 5:30 Friday after noon
They are busy, but they are worth the wait!!

Did you buy that boat off of Justin Silvers? Wasn't it the old Widdow Maker / Never Late Skater?
View attachment 989687 View attachment 989688 View attachment 989689
I bought it from Scot Conrad when it was Never Late.....and a pile of carbon/kevlar shit. 6 years and 175k later is what you see there (although I believe he put in Teague motors and wet sump 6's), instead of my Sterlings and dry 6's. I named it Hitman, then I believe Justin owned it after me? That boat was -

The Chase is On
X-Men
Never Late
Hitman
Widow Maker

last I heard it got hit at the ramp and was back at Skater to fix it. Guess not. That boat made me leave boating for 12 years, lol

What year are those pictures? Justin gave us a ride in one of his acquisitions back in 2006 out in Havasu:

Not as nice as that Skater but it was a fun ride nonetheless!

Justin is a character for sure. He has owned more sick boats than anyone I've known. From a 90 Johnson yacht to nearly every performance cat and vee built. I remember that 36 Spectre. He had two right around the same time.

This was the other one back then.

Oh and to stay on topic here....Justin's frustrated AJ a few times. LOL

Of course! Justin's a perfectionist. That's a tough customer type to please.
