So I've been putting off this bathroom remodel for years but the word recently came down from the top (my wife) that it will be done before new baby arrives in 2 months. So off I went....The dude that lived here before me who I affectionately refer to as Captain Home Depot had really done a number on this shower. Made it super small, all plastic walls and shower door, it was leaking etc. So Here is what we started with.....check out the random area left of the shower, complete waste of space.

Grout tomorrow, and they will reset the sinks, new toilet going etc. I think Im going to have them change the way the tile finishes at the top of the window. It looks like they just stopped, I think we need to continue the border like they did around the sides of the shower

Looking great!! :thumbsup

My place was also remodeled by Captain HD!! He took the Saturday class on tiling a shower. They told him to slope the floor to the center. He did!!!!

.... The Drain is the original tub drain on the side!! So the water pools in the middle and while towelling off, we get to kick the water to the drain. :grumble:

Your building codes in AZ would never work here in Ca. Redguard over regular drywall thats not screwed to code? Is the redguard the only waterproofing or was pan hot mopped. Not knocking your job but here in CA mold issues are huge.

That's not regular drywall, it's the water resistant mold resistant stuff. I forget what it's called. I had a contractor build the shower so I'm not sure how he did the floor but I know it was built up and shaped with stucco, then they installed a rubber pan liner and I think hot mopped it. We don't have the mold issues as much here since its so hot. As much as that shower as leaking when I pulled it all apart everything was dry and no mold anywhere which honestly amazed me.

The dry heat you guy's have im sure changes things. Mold grows here like no other

Tile guys finished the trim around the top and encased the rest of the window. Got the sinks back in, new toilet. All I need now is to have the glass enclosure built and put the shower head and mixing valve in.

Got the Glass door installed, frameless with brushed fasteners to match the shower head and mixer valve. This thing is cool, with no frame its dam near invisiable.

I have tiled a lot of custom showers over the years...and yours looks great. Nice job. Regarding the Hot Mop, I definitely hope they hot mopped the seat and the shampoo box.
