BP 632 in crate. Complete carb to pan. Dyno sheet says 750ish as I recall. It’s brand new as it comes from them. $11k

Thanks but don't need that much power and I guess I should mention the budget is about $5K. Don't want to have $20K in a $10K boat!

I don't have anything ready to go, is your block salvageable?

Unfortunately, no. At least I don't think it is worth trying to save it. My brother left it outside and it got water in it so cylinders rusted. It's a shame because the good cylinders are in really good shape so it was a low hour motor. Crank looks good too.
I have a guy that might have a good bare block for me though.
Could you build me a motor in my budget?
I also have an M1 ProCharger for a BBC that I thought about running. I was thinking about a very reliable 400HP build and then run the ProCharger at about 6#'s of boost to get my 500HP. Is that a good plan?

Looks like you had a stock 2 bolt, cast crank, small rods and cast pistons. Not sure if it's worth time and effort it would take to get the pistons out, hoping that it would be good after a burn and blast on the block.

500 hp is obtainable with good oval port heads and camshaft combination, no procharger necessary. What cylinder heads do you have?

Heads are stock oval ports but the intake valves are rusted because of the water getting in so probably not salvageable.
I did just talked to a local (northern NV) engine guy and I think I'm going to have him build a motor for me.

Great news! Maybe we will see you out on the water this year yet!

Hope so! The guy is in Fallon so had to drive right past Lohanton to get there and was thinking I'll be out there soon.

My buddy dropped off the jet drive at Performance Speed and Marine in Sparks like 4 years ago. I told him he'd better call them and make sure they still have the jet! The good news is they still have it. Bad news is they haven't touched it despite my buddy already paying them $1400. He told them the motor will be back in the boat in a week and we want to bring it up there so they can reinstall the jet. Guess we'll see what happens.

Is that still available? Got a buddy looking and that would probably a good setup for him. It’s NA I’m guessing?

It’s as you would buy it from BP. In their crate and all. I have a project slated for it, but if it sells I have a backup plan.
