Title says it all, what do you suggest and why? I will use it for household stuff and trimming trees and bushes.
They’re all pretty similar. I’d pick one that runs on your current battery platform. I use the Ryobi one for the same purposes. Works great.Title says it all, what do you suggest and why? I will use it for household stuff and trimming trees and bushes.
For home use the Ryobi platform is pretty good. Same parent company as Milwaukee. The technology gets handed down so it’s solid, just a year or two older. I pick up the 2 pack of 4ah batteries when they go on sale. They have every tool imaginable for projects, gardening and inflators. For working every day, Milwaukee, Dewalt or Makita are great tools. The technology is improving almost everyday. Getting to the point where you almost don’t need a corded product. Saws, nailers, etc.I don't have a current battery configuration, everything except my drill is corded.
Battery size definitely makes a huge difference. The batteries that come with the promo items get a little smaller every year. It’s not uncommon for them to be 1.5AH anymore. They don’t last very long in a drill much less any kind of saw. Most complaints aren’t with the tool it’s a function of battery life.Milwaukee is my favorite just make sure it m18 and get 2 batteries it uses them up pretty quickly
I have 2 of I'm my circular saw they last a long time but are very heavy I have 5ah and 6ah for the saws all it still eats them up but that is using it all day cutting out fascia boardsBattery size definitely makes a huge difference. Throw one of these into a M18 tool and it’ll go for awhile.

I have owned them all, Hilti is by far the best!
Big and smaller. Have numerous of each. Corded Milwaukee is the best. Or if you need a really big one Milwaukee makes a monster cordless one. I buy them on special when $99 each. View attachment 988821 View attachment 988822
They have some damn good technology in the flex volt. Battery senses how much power is needed and gives it more or less depending on the situation. Huge leap compared to old tech.Dewalt flexvolt 60v
Being in construction I've had this one about 2 years and it is to only one that I have ever used that is comparable to a 110v plug in power wise! And the battery last way longer than any other also!

Interesting I always found the Porter Cable Tiger Saw to be the best corded sawzall. But I havent bought a corded on in years as I've had the Porter Cable for probably 15 years. Used daily as a framing contractor for probably 5-7 of those years.
My Porter cable corded is at least 25 years old and still kicking.I forgot about the porter cable. And Hilti has top notch tools for sure. I have probably 30 of the 20V Dewalt Batteries and they have good specials so majority of my cordless tools are Dewalt.

I switched from Dawalt to Makita years ago and man what a difference in quality of tools. I now have thousands of dollars invested in my Makitas...I’ve got Makita cordless tools because I started with a cordless drill kit and went from there - if I was going to start again I’d go with Milwaukee, they seem to go on sale more often.
Here or harbor freight we have bothDewalt flexvolt 60v

That was great, you really can't go wrong with DeWalt, Milwaukee or Makita brushlessGo watch this guys test video...he is amazing and has compared jsut about every gizmo and rebuild in a can you can imagine, with some very surprising results. He just put this one up a few days ago. The guy is great...ad he buys every tool he tests retail...takes no $ from nobody...although I am sure he gets some interesting offers...
Same at the company I work for.We use all Ridgid tools for my company. From pipe machines to cordless tools.
All my stuff is Dewalt but was Makita before that. All pretty much the same but for trimming trees and bushes nothing's better than a Stihl chainsaw. Get a Stihl pole saw for the high stuff.Title says it all, what do you suggest and why? I will use it for household stuff and trimming trees and bushes.
Don’t get me wrong, I have no issues with Makita tools, I think they are great, but they never seem to go on sale like the Milwaukees or DeWalts.I switched from Dawalt to Makita years ago and man what a difference in quality of tools. I now have thousands of dollars invested in my Makitas...
everything works great EXCEPT the leaf blower which sucks.
Nobody is gonna ask if C-2 is going start stealing cats?

LMAO! Good one man.Leaf BLOWER that SUCKS. Did you buy a vacuum or a leaf blower?
Good point
Who has time to watch all these videos?! Give us the Cliff's Notes version - who won?
The new tool selection is unbelievable. I rarely pull anything out with a cord anymore. Hammer drill, tire inflator, sawzall, grinder, blower, hedge trimmer. Hell even my sprayer is battery powered. Weeds don’t have a chance. Thanks guys, and thanks DWC for the write-ups.
I used to swing a hammer back in the day too (framing) and we used corded Makita sawzall's and worm drive Skill saws. I have a Stihl chainsaw for the trees, but I was admittedly embarrassed when a neighbor recently handed me a cordless Milwaukee and asked why I was torturing myself. And he was right, lol, it seems cordless technology has really come far. I keep horses, goats and chickens on a 1-acre parcel (not my residence) with barns and out buildings and shit always needs to be cut up, or cut down.
