Best investment grade funds to buy during the pandemic

I thought that with so many people sitting at home with a device in their hands and time to kill this might be a better thread than the typical sky is falling thread.
Being that there is a vast group here on RDP.......
Who is buying now?
What are you buying and plan to hold long term?
What are you buying to hold short term?

I can tell you I have some TACO (Del Taco) stock and bought in near the highs. It is way down now even from the IPO and may be oversold IMO. Most locations have drive through service so they are not completely dead in the water. Might be a good long term bet. I need to buy some more now.

Just bought another 2000 shares of Fannie Mae (FNMA) @ $1.40
Have a Limit buy for 2000 shares of FreddiMac (FMCC) @ $1.25

Here’s something interesting:
Before the Great Recession, Warren Buffet advised people to buy stocks.

What’s interesting is, Berkshire Hathaway was sitting on $60B in cash, at the time the most they’d ever held.
Meh UHC set them up perfectly for the cheap prices that ensued.

If stocks were so good, why not invest that cash?


Cut to 2020.
Same deal, for the first part of the year, Buffet advises people to buy stocks.

Meanwhile, Berskhire was again amassing cash.

Only this time, they’re sitting on $125B, and are poised to make gobs of money once again.

Good timing?

Another that I bought into near the highs. These two are a huge gamble! I bought in knowing I was going to lose it all or make a great profit someday. Been holding it over six years now, currently at a loss.

I buy a few thousand shares each time it nears the 52 week low. I don’t believe the Gov can let these fail without dropping us into a deep depression. The cut is still to fresh to let these fail . When they are released, I think there is are good profits here.
Now is the time to DCA
