Bhc Vics 4th of July weekend

Let’s get this party started! The crew is up and getting prepped for the long weekend. Nasty drive out last night, think we were around 5 hours.

Oddly enough the kids said they don’t want to hit the lake right now, they want to go later. This is new to me, but hey man these trips are for the family not what I want to do. We are headed to sams club and shiver river. Maybe do some evening boating. I think the kids are just stoked to be out of the house.

my 4 year old is a little gamer. He beat luigis ghost mansion by himself last night. My wife and I were shocked.

Weird how many ez up skeletons were on the beach. Not sure if we will launch tomorrow. The ramp was kind of a shit show, and so was the parking lot. I back the trailer into a spot and unhook so I can park in the low lot. I realized it’s a little more tricky with the suburban. I got it done pretty quick but that thing really needs bigger mirrors. And I’ll have to remember to have the kids flip the TVs back up next time. Almost like backing up blind

Sounds like a nice day. I feel taking your time to get out is way more relaxing. You don't have to get up and get everybody moving right away.

I'm the same way. If you can't get yore shit together by 10, I'm leaving you here. 10:00 is a generous amount of time to get out of bed, shit, shower, shave, pack the cooler, sunscreen, breakfast, etc...

What an epic day. We were going to hit the water today but at about noon the wife and kids said let’s go. We got to the ramp and it was empty which was perfect. I was able to find a perfect spot on the courtesy dock which is good because I’m a one man show. The parking lots were jam packed. First time I’ve ever had to park in the upper lot but hey you win some you lose some. I keep my penny board in the boat so skating down was no problem. The trip back we won’t talk about. We had tried to find a spot near the dam but that wasn’t happening. There was space but I always ask before pulling in. The group said there was a boat coming back (there was room for 4) so I said no problem and we headed towards cottonwood. 83 dollar cove which is our all time favorite was packed so we just kept going. We got to cottonwood and the kids said dad we want to find a beach. I decided to turn around and try out luck again. Back to 83 dollar cove and a pontoon had just pulled out. PEFECT... I asked the group that was still there and they said come on in our friends are gone for the day they just left the ez up and chair. PERFECT AGAIN. I was getting stuff out and they said hey just use their stuff they won’t mind. It was hot so don’t tell me twice. We played beach pirates and it was awesome. Stayed on the water till about 5 and again the launch ramp was empty. What a perfect day. Probably one of the best days I’ve had in my life.

More than likely. We just finished I have a couple videos but I’m worse than the kids and got too excited lighting them off. I do think i pissed off my neighbor unfortunately. He’s new I’ve haven’t met him yet

Mojave is awesome! Telephone Cove, Nevada is across from Katherine's, hidden unless you navigate over and look. Nice trees, Block restrooms. No water. NPS services every day, Rangers check in too. Can be reached from Laughlin, up the hill from the bridge,, turnoff is on right just before Christmas Tree Pass turnoff.

Blew right past it on the water for 15 years before discovering it.
P.S. Make sure everyone wears at least water shoes on the sand and walking in the shallows, nails hurt.
