A project that has been sitting here for a month or so....

Here we go, billet pedals. I have made them before in a couple different configurations.

The facemill that tried to rip off a piece of my finger awhile back for just touching it. :)

This ol girl is hungry.

I would advise looking straight at her. I don't do it.

The "lines" in the flat surface are the reflection from the internal sheet metal. :)

AB makes good stuff, we use them for some custom work time to time. Mil-tec is made in Florida as well. I have a customer running one their 3" aluminum bodies in a bt30 brother running delrin. Only 3" that came in under the tool changer weight limit.

This is from the previous run so you can see what they look like. Production parts wont have the sipes or holes.

Stupid question but do you guys just recycle all of the chips after a job? Does the client pay for the whole “chunk” of material prior to being built by you?

Took yesterday off to paint the inside of my lovely wife's grandmothers house in Glendora after she finally got it repiped. AC didn't work too well, so back out again this week to have that looked at and fixed.

Took out the Kurt vise and put in the Chick vise. Setup and ready to go.

Client is hot for his pedals.

Running a left and right pedal at the same time.

You guys ready?

Brian

ready, set, push go!

If you got the stones to let it go. ;)

After an 8 hour fiddlefuck setup.....yep, 90% there.

2nd and 3rd sets collectively look like they will take 25% as much time to run as the first set.

Very nicely done.

So, are these make to order or something you occasionally stock for sale?

Thanks!! :)

Yes.

I stock them from time to time, I sold a few sets and had another client ask for a few sets with a different configuration so I needed to build more. I put a post up on FB and sold a couple more.

I have designed a built few of my own parts, I don't always have time to build them. Most of the parts I build are proprietary for someone else.

Noted.

Perhaps they sell that facemill again. I know I tried to get another one for the second VF4 right as they were moooooving around and it was unavailable at the time. Which got me to the AB facemill initially, a tool rep came in and sold me on a Seco. I ended up selling the Valenite, in that period inserts were also getting hard to come by, and the other two worked waaaay better than the Valenite ever did.

Brian

stoopid autocorrect. supposed to be "facemill"

One set drilled and off to polish, then to anodize.

I believe it's a straight edge just not sure what the holes are for

First picture is way out of focus. Straight edge? Adjustable parallel? I cant tell what the screw holes are.
