Sorry to see your hood - bent as shit needs to be corrected by Ace Hardware

The PT holder instructions couldn't be more confusing - it talks about 2 bolts but only uses 1

Never underestimate the resolve of an irritated woman.
My wife hauled that hood back to ACE and they swapped it out for one off their display unit.
I would have bet the answer was going to be " Call Blackstone customer service".
Thumbs up to Karsten's ACE Hardware in Phoenix.

I went to ACE to buy the natural gas conversion kit today. They were sold out of everything blackstone, minus a 36" cover and their spatula/scraper deal. Everything was gone, didn't even have anything on display.

RDP is just as bad as Google and Amazon I swear. I told the wife that instead of a grill we should look into a griddle so I jump on here and this shit pops up. Well leave it to RDP to help me spend more money I don't have......off to spend some money now 😁😂

I'm going to try this first Little Griddle on my Weber. Could save me a couple of Benjamin's or cost me half of one. I'll report back once I cook on it.

I haven't cooked bone in chicken yet, but I cooked boneless thighs tonight. They turned great.

whoa did you already mod it with the beer opener? i dont see that in the pic from ace above.
No this is how it came. This is the 399.00 version griddle marked down to 299.00 for the sale. They do have a 299.00 griddle that is a 36 inch but doesn't have all of the cool accessories.

I hate these threads...
I bought a Blue Rhino 17" at Lowes to use in my motorhome. It worked great, my only complaint is that it chews through small propane bottles quick. I need to get the line to hook it up to my motorhome tank.

Anybody use the grill grate top when cooking meat rather than the griddle ? Was thinking of getting the 28" Bundle . Just wondering if it is worth it .

You get a great sear on meat with these flat tops.. no need for grill grates.

I've only used it once but i let it cool a little and threw some water on it. Scraped everything into the catch can. Used a little more water and scraped again to get all the crunchies off. Used a paper towel and wiped it down and then used another paper towel to spread a thin layer of oil on it.

Get one for your house, and a smaller one for your RV. It's worth it, trust me.

I want the 36” one to take camping
If you have the space, then it's definitely a huge asset when you are camping. You will love making meals all at one time, rather than having to cook for a couple people at a time.

I clean it just like the hibachi guys do. I put all the burners on high, scrape it while it warms up, use a little water and scrape again, then use some water and a folded up paper towel (and tongs) and clean it the rest of the way. Shut the burners off, the spread some olive oil over it using a clean paper towel and tongs.

Love this thing.. we use it so much I almost never put the cover back on it. Lol.

I didn’t know they made one with a hood. I am going to have to see if that’s something I can buy separately?

Yeah you can buy separately. Multiple ones out there. The griddles that I've looked at already have the holes to mount the lids too.

Have the 36" which I love and have several trips planned to the river this year so I picked up the Tailgater griddle/grill combo. I usually shed a few pounds going to the river. Ain't happenin' now!

The 28" is available at the Anaheim Hills Ace. The 36" is a 10 day wait. According to Aces website.

Question I'm looking at the 36" flat top grill and I know the legs fold down so I can take it in my Motorhome does the one you have fold down ?
I can only speak about the one from Ace (picture you quoted).

Yes the legs fold, and have buckle to hold them in place when folded. The lower shelf is what holds the legs apart when set up, and the shelf is just held on with a hand-turn bolt on each side (the nut is welded to the shelf, so no tools needed).

If it requires the wheels to be removed to fold the legs, two are held on with the same hand bolt as the shelf. The other two just hand screw into the leg.
