I have a 40’ block wall that I want to tear down and replace it with a new wall just angled in towards the back yard. This will widen my drive way then tear up drive way and re pour new drive way.

I have a guy out of Rialto. He capped and stucco’d sitting wall. After that, I sent him to my neighbors to rebuild their wall which was falling over. He did good.

Out of curiosity what causes a failure like that ? Would it eventually take entire wall down?

Sometimes tree roots can cause that or lifting. Most typically the ground beneath the footing moves from changes such as improper soil compaction in that area when lots were graded for building, undersized wall footing, earthquakes, a below grade water leak causing erosion etc. Earthquakes are quite common contributors.
