So you brought up pet peeve of mine you are not allowed to sell blood but we spend millions advertising for people to donate and every one else down the line charges for testing the blood storing it and it costs you when you need it just pay 50.00 dollars a pint and we will not have to hear the media begging for donors all the time the shortage will end overnight

Yes do your part, go donate blood. Don’t ask any questions, don’t worry about the bucket, just sit down and give blood. Easy.

Use to donate all the time when I was younger. Been talking to the wife lately that I need to start doing it again since I have universal blood.

If you have a local Trauma Hospital donate directly to them if possible. The blood donated to the Red Cross is turned around and sold to the hospitals that need it. I'd rather give directly to the source of where I will most likely need it, then have someone profit off of it.
