Last weekend I went to the Bluewater Casino to eat at Willows and threw down a few hands on the blackjack tables.
I pull into the marina and tie up. As I am just about to step off the docks, an employee in a SxS comes rushing over. He says the marina is closed. I said fine, I'll park on the beach. He says that's closed to. Fuck.....
He said if I wanted to beach it, that I had to be on the other side of the chain link fence north of where race boats pit. I cruise up, beach her and then walk up the little paved road to the front entrance of the casino. Not that big of a deal, just chaps my ass that the casino is open, yet they close the marina because "lack of employees".
Upon entry to the casino, they have a pretty trick machine you walk up to and it checks your temp. Keep in mind, you are a full blown Covid Super Spreader prior to showing temps and/or feeling any symptoms. I've seen this Covid shit first hand too many times.
Anywho... We walk into Willows and get seated. Come to find out, they now have a new menu. Still great service! Their food is still great, but the main dishes don't come with sides. You have to add ('$") them on. The Sea Food Tower was enough for 2 people. It was pretty good. We also got the Lobster Mac n Cheese. Tons of lobster inside. Really good! We got a side of brown sugar bacon brussel sprouts. Horrible! It tasted like I was eating a chunks of brown sugar. I'm looking forward to trying more new items from their new menu down the road.
After dinner, I played blackjack for a couple hours. Only 3 people per table and there is plexiglass between the players. When the table wins, everyone slaps plexiglass hands. Hahahahha.
All in all, the Casino is back open for the most part. The Marina is closed to all boats. The Hotel is still closed. I heard they will start renting 40 rooms sometime after the new year. The Indians won't allow any racing either. Hopefully that changes next year, but I won't hold my breath.
