Need a reference for a good Boat lettering business, that can help with registration numbers on a new Pontoon...

Don't know about paint, but if you are looking for vinyl, there are lots of places online. Most you can design yourself, font, colors, size and most anything else you need. You can also preview them and see if you like your choice before you buy. I like vinyl as I think it's easier to change them than painted. Also less expensive. I had some done in 3 color and they came out great.

I hear that Jimmy C is back and living up by the Parker dam. He is painting registration numbers on boats.

After reading the rules for them I went with kustom vinyl I ordered online that fit the azgf regulations.
I did not want to give poo-poo any reason to check me because I got fancy script letters/numbers.

"Jimmy C has long been famous for his master hot rod pinstriping and has been called the “master of detail” by his fans."

"Now Jimmy is working with one of my favorite guitar companies, Fender, to paint a number of custom guitars. The Gretsch guitar painting pictured is a SICK Jimmy C signature pinstriping guaranteed to make your guitar sound sweet!"

If Jimmy C can do this for a guitar, just imagine how fast your boat will be with lettering by Jimmy C! :D

Bob Thompson did mine and I am very happy. Price was very reasonable and he comes to you. His contact number is 909-226-6188. Tell him KAP with the C-3 boat sent you. You can pick out your font and he will hand paint it on the hull.

I see the 909 area code. Where is he located?

Don Burda comes out to your place also and is in Havasu. His number is 928-855-2853 and a nice webpage with samples of his work at www.butdadesign.com. I felt that he was reasonable also. I sent him a picture of my boat and several options from his web site then he sent me back samples of those in colors for my boat with prices for each. The more layers the higher the cost but not a lot more. Mine was lower middle.

He has done two boats for me including the Daytona in my Avitar.
Tell him Dave Kahn sent you.

Another Don Burda fan here.
He did mine in my garage on a Saturday, at a price I thought was fantastic.

That’s him under the boat. He even took his buffing wheel to the transom to shine it up, and put my stickers on nice and straight. No extra charge. (I tipped him though!)

That was my experience as well.
He actually came over twice.
First time he wanted to measure the hull slope before generating samples.

Shallow boats aren’t the easiest!
Not sure one could use a one piece vinyl without doing some wrinkle slicing.
