Yup, I’m with a -2 now. If I loose a few mph, that’s ok, there is always someone faster. My main goal these days is stay off the tow rope.Good choice and thanks for sharing. The SCX is much heaver than the XR and your boat will deffinatly sit lower in the water. I agree with your 1" to 2" guess that the boat sits deeper in the water. The SCX upper also moves the prop-shaft close to 3/4" further back to fit the larger gear-set. If you can raise the drive 1/2" it would probable help. If you have a -1 lower you could order a -2 SC lower and see what it does. You can space down by 1/2" from that point. If you already have a -2 SC lower on the drive now, well ... not much you can due.
