When you are getting on plain what is your rpm's at when your boat lays over?
2 people 2900rpm's
4 people 3500rpm's

I think all boats are different, but I think it's more of hull speed than RPM when the boat rolls on plane. I try to take it easy on my drives, so I usually don't go over 3000 RPM when getting on plane unless I need to get on plane quickly. My boat seems to get on plane at around 25 MPH or so.

I pin mine and right as it starts to get on top, it cavitates just enough to spool up to about 6k, right then it hooks up and takes off like a raped ape.
It's one of my favorite things about driving my boat
Takes a lot of set up to get it to work right.
I'll have to try that

About 3000 to 3200 and it rolls right over, when it's cold in the morning, I try to keep it below 3 grand till it the oil warms up a bit and the oil pressure comes down a bit.

Are we talking full tanks of gas and coolers??
A slight glance at the pedal (with one eye closed) and I'm on plane....
It won't come off plane until she's idling with a surge. Planing is a non issue really...:rolleyes
Here's an idea of what I'm talking about.
