Boatless.. any beaches on the river?

We are boatless at the moment but need my river fix. Are there any beaches where we can just drive to and hang out all day at? Near needles? Any thoughts??

You can drive to Pirate's cove and hang out by the beach there and use their facilities and order food and drinks.

If you follow dike rd. t I think you can find a bunch of beaches on the AZ side. We were hanging out there on Sat. a state patrol cruised up out of nowhere. When I asked where he came from he said the rd. ran all the way long the river.

You could hang out at the AVI beach. Also south of the AVI there are plenty of beaches that are accessable by car.
