You come back the next day to assess the damage.. and bring supplies.. you fill all the cracks and breaks with spray foam... ended up rock split the keel dow the middle.. tried to brake the boat in half where the stringers stopped.. broke all the motor mounts and knocked the intake out of the bottom of the boat..

you let the foam set up overnight.. go have breakfast the next morning, with a few drinks to kill the sorrows.. wrap it in a tarp and float it about 2 miles to the dock to get it out..

Great thread, I needed this today. I had one of those tahiti's. At the same time I had a Baca painted Sanger flat bottom.
After while the flat got left behind, and the Tahiti got used more. It was always full of beer and mostly naked drunk chics. Good times on that boat.

Rescues.. old man at the dock was freaking out cause they hadn't called to pick them up and where 4hrs late. He had already called 911 cause he couldnt get ahold of them, there phones got wet so wouldnt work. Offered me $100 to go look for them but I denied the $. So the wife and i head up river to look for them. They where scared to death when we found them. Sun was dropping fast and they had no clue where they where at. They still had a 3 hour float to get to where they where going. Come to find out the old man at the dock was there employer, he was the owner of all the local rockin rogers hamburger joints. Needless to say we have a free night of food and drinks on him next time we go to rockin rogers. Called the local sheriff and let him know we got them back safe and not to worry about launcjingbthe boat!

Mud?? That is wet sand 100%... that is an island we hang out on. If the water drops low enough in the summer it is actually a peninsula.. It is completely under water during the river rise in the winter..

The soil around Naci, and most California lakes, is a clay based soil. It's really only the desert lakes that have sand bottoms and banks. We you grow up going boating on a mid bottom lake, washing your feet is a habit and no big deal to get everyone to do so before getting in the boat. That's why I laugh whenever river only people bitch about keeping sand out of their boats. It's not a big deal to wash off before getting in the boat.

Most of the boating pics are on the Willamette River in the Salem Oregon area about 45min south of Portland. A few are on the Columbia River in Portland Oregon. Heck a couple are on Lake Havasu. We do most of our boating on the Willamette cause I have 3 launches within 5min - 15min from my house.

The dune pics are a place called Sandlake just outside of Pacific City Oregon about an hour from my house.

Most all these pics are from this last summer.

Awesome. I've never been to Sand Lake. I have been to Spinreel, Coos Bay and Winchester Bay.

I think I liked Winchester Bay the best!
