Just wanted to share some pics from the Boyne Thunder poker run in Boyne City, MI last weekend. Like last year, I headed up solo (sans boat) to volunteer, take pics, check out some awesome machinery and enjoy the Friday night street party, where I get all the display boats and hot rods set up. Check out the two custom stretched Retro-Vettes…
Weather was mostly great; upper 80’s but pretty humid ‘cause we had lots of rain at night. 120 boats overall--most from the MW but many from other places, too. A couple from Arizona picked up their 43’ El Gato Patrón MTI, which I hear they will be taking back with them to Lake Powell. Nice boat.
If you ever get a chance to head east of the Mississippi, this is one poker run you should check out—boat or not. Clean water, shady trees, friendly people and lots of good beer.
